Some sad news today coming from the Beastie Boy’s camp. Earlier in the day Adam Yauch (aka MCA) posted the above YouTube video letting his fans know that he will be having surgery next week to operate on what he says is a “treatable” cancerous tumor. Watch the above video to get all the details. While all cancer is serious, it sounds like he will be able to over come this once he receives the required treatment.

I L-O-V-E the Beastie Boys. They were on my “Bands I need to see before I die” list. My hubby surprised me with a trip to Vancouver a few years back when they toured to support The 5 Boroughs. I waited in line for like 5 hours to be front and centre for the show. They were AMAAAAAZING….didn’t disappoint, played everything I wanted to here and then some. Its amazing to see those guys kick it like they can even though they are all in the 40s.

Hopefully all his fans out there are able to learn from MCA’s experience…always make sure you are listening to your body and make sure that you get a check up on anything that you are unsure or worried about.  You can never be too careful when it comes to your health and early detection is the key to treating cancer.
