Alright, a few days ago Kristen Stewart said that she hates the paps because the say the rudest, most obnoxious things to her to get a reaction and then take photos of her reactions. Her words on it were : “The photos are so… I feel like I’m looking at someone being raped”

And then the blogosphere got all “Bitch please, that’s what you get paid for”.

But I’m coming to the defence of Kristen Stewart here. Getting stopped everywhere you go for pictures with people and their kids, getting your photo taken while shopping, and having people update their Facebook status to say “OMG! Standing in line at Good Earth behind COLDPLAY!!!” (<- that was an actual update on one of my friends Facebook accounts a while back) is all part of the game. Having people yell obscenities, chase you down in your car and mob you at the airport is not. It’s mean and rude.

Today at at an Australia airport things got so out of hand that security had to call the police, people were getting punched out and Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner had to be removed from the premises. And you know what? Causing a ruckus made it more likely that people were going to demand the pictures and they’d get paid. That’s not right. Let’s back off a bit peeps.

Stacey: While I do agree with you , Tan, comparing it to rape is a bit much.  But this is pretty crazy.  But thats because people ARE crazy.  I read things like this and am sad for the world.
