Geeze. This is the best I have seen Madonna look in ages.

What?  You mean, this isn’t Madonna? Are you sure?  Because I could swear that this is a picture from her Cherish video.

Oh.  Its Lady Gaga.  Looking almost exactly like Madonna.  Again.  Has anyone noticed how she seems to be taking inspiration/ripping off a lot of Madge’s old looks?  I am sure its totally coincidental but I can’t help but notice the similarities.   I guess she could be considered our generation’s Madonna.  In the long run, though, I think Madonna’s music will stand the test of time.  Eventually, Gaga will fade away.  But that’s just my opinion.

Is it just me or does anyone else see it too?

Some people with too much time on their hands got together and made the entire Twilight series into a music video. It’s kinda funny, but it’s kinda awkward too. Is it worth the time? Well, it’s 3:50 on Wednesday afternoon so you’re probably not working anyway, so why not?

Oh Prince:

Unlike most other rock stars, he has banned YouTube and iTunes from using any of his music and has even closed down his own official website.

“The internet’s completely over. I don’t see why I should give my new music to iTunes or anyone else. They won’t pay me an advance for it and then they get angry when they can’t get it. The internet’s like MTV. At one time MTV was hip and suddenly it became outdated. Anyway, all these computers and digital gadgets are no good. They just fill your head with numbers and that can’t be good for you.”

This is where Prince seems to lack foresight: He is releasing a new album called 20TEN on CD format, for free, only in the UK. So if you’re here in North America you can’t get it, which means you’ll be turning to the internet to find a download. By trying to proclaim the death of the internet, Prince has succeeded in establishing it as the way of music life. Ooops!

Now before you roll your eyes and pass this over I need to tell you how awesome this video it.  My brother was at my house one day and showed it to me.  Now I, like you, was extremely sceptical.  He definitely got the side eye when he told me what it was.  I mean, how can you do Billie Jean on an acoustic guitar?  And more importantly, why would you?  Because Billie Jean is probably the most over played MJ song ever.  But this guy totally blew me away.  It is amazing and you should take the 5 minutes to watch it.  Check it out below.

We can now add Vince Neil to the growing list of celebrity morons who get behind the wheel after drinking.  Vince was arrested on suspicion of a DUI in Vegas.  And apparently, this isn’t his first issue with this.

I saw Motley Crue in Calgary a few years back.  And honestly, it was terrbile.  Vince was a drunk mess and could barely sing.  I guess not much has changed.

And can we official make it illegal for aging, fat, has-been rock stars to wear leather pants please?  Ick!

Who the heck is that greasy, nasty ass guy with Faith Hill and Sandra Bullock?

What?  Thats Time McGraw?  It can’t be!  He is normally so handsome.

That photo of him is horrifying!  Now, thats what someone looks like when they come off a three day coke bender.  Relax, peeps, I am not saying he did, I am just saying he looks like he did.

Tanya: Yikes! Tim McGraw looks like a mess. Maybe he just finished a concert and is sweaty and tired from the effort he put in…

The husband and I were talking the other day about Snoop Dogg and how he’s on the cusp of being washed up. He’s still putting out albums, and he still has a bit of street cred, but his music is becoming so nonsensical and cheesy that it’s a little sad.

And then today this came out:

I’m sorry to say it but I think Snoop just crossed the line into wash-up. He had a great run, better than most, but watching this video was pretty sad and I think I just saw the last of his street cred get poured out onto the street like a bit of beer from a 40oz. I feel a little sorry for him. Not quite as sad as I feel for Coolio who just got a miss-spelled Insane Clown Posse tattoo, but close.

Stacey: I have always thought that Snoop was creepy.  He makes my skin crawl.  So if he is over, than I am happy

A very special b-day shout out is in order.  My super amazing co-blogger, Tanya, is celebrating her birthday today!

Hooray!

But instead of posting some man meat, I thought I would mix it up and post a video from one of her favorite bands, Radiohead.  When Tanya and I were teens we used to spend hours on end in her room in the dark with lit candles and incense, listening to Radiohead contemplating the many facets of our lives, which at the time, included boys, clothes, movies, school, boys some more, and people we didn’t like.  Some things never change.

I wasn’t sure which would be her favorite RH song so I picked one of my favs in hopes that she would appreciate it as much as me :)

So, happy day of birthing, Tanya.  I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful friend.  I hope you know how much you are loved!

I will admit it.  I totally love Katy Perry’s new song, California Gurls.  And I love the sneak peek of the video.  How could I not?  She is wearing cupcakes on her boobs!
