Corey Haim Dies

Child star Corey Haim was found dead this morning in his California apartment of an apparent drug overdose.

You may remember Corey from The Lost Boys (one of my personal favs).

And while I know it is very popular for Hollywood types to write each other off and then when one passes away suddenly everyone was their friend and they stand up and say what great people they were, I am going to go another direction.

Yes, it is sad that he died. 38 is so young to go. But I have a hard time feeling sorry for these young stars who are given ever opportunity in the world to succeed and have a life that most of us only dream of and then they squander it away and eventually die of a drug over dose.

I hope all the young stars out there are paying attention to this *ahem* Lindsay Lohan *ahem* because this is a path that each and every one of them can find themselves on if they don’t take care of themselves.

So sad.

Tanya: I was reading on TMZ that he had battled prescription drug addiction in the past. Also, Rick James died in the same building.

Sad day.

Stacey: Totally! Actually, I see Christian Bale + Zach Efron here. But at least Christian Bale in American Phsyco is hot. This guy is so not.

I’ve been staring at this photo of Madonna and Demi Moore for the last 10 minutes and I can’t look away. I’m not sure if its because of their eyes, cheek bones or “warm embrace” but it’s creepy. Seriously. Take a moment to really look at it and tell me you don’t feel a little hollow inside.

Can Madonna suck out my youth through the monitor? :’(

Some of the gossip sites are talking about Rachel McAdams & Jake Gyllenhaal hooking up after they presented together at the Oscars. Clarification: they didn’t actually hook up (that we know of) but there’s talk that they should hook up. I’m going to jump on board with this one. They’d be super cute

Stacey: These two would instantly be my top fav celeb couple. Too much cuteness! And we want good things for them don’t we? They have both had their hearts broken. Don’t we want them to find happiness? Seriously, they would be perfect together! Did you see this link on Lainey? With a video where Jake was holding her purse while they were talking to someone from Oprah’s show? Please! I almost died from the sweetness.

Ok, this kid is cracking me up. Here is Shaun White at the Vanity Fair party in some hilarious pants and totally owning his individuality. Way to rock it, Shaun.

Apparently this kid is like the Tiger Woods of snowboarding. He won an Olympic gold medal in 2006 and 2010, blowing his competition out of the water. He is also the only athlete ever to medal in both the summer and winter X-Games. I guess he is a skateboarder too. Additionally, Red Bull built him his own half pipe in Colorado that he needs to be airlifted into. Pretty sweet, eh?

Anyways, I was trying ot find a video of his Olympic run but found this video from when he was just 11 years old. Sometimes people are just born to do one thing. It looks like this is it for him.

Tanya: Props to Shaun for being a little ‘out there’ but I don’t think this fits into the Oscar Party dress code. And it’s the same thing he wore for his Rolling Stone cover which makes me think he wore those pants so people would know who he is.

It is! Its Amber Rose. I almost didn’t recognize her. Especially since I am so used to seeing her dressed like this.
