April 28th, 2010Celebrity Babies, GossipIn today’s People MagazineSandra shows off her newly adopted baby boy. Louis Bardo Bullock is 3 1/2 months old and was born in New Orleans. Sandra & Jesse James started the adoption process together and Louis has been part of the family since January and Sandra is just announcing his arrival now and finalizing the adoption as a single parent. Which brings us to the second big piece of news today…
In her People Magazine interview Sandra Bullock also confirms “Yes, I have filed for divorce” and also adds “I’m sad and I am scared.” Awwww
It’ll be OK Sandy. Even though I don’t know the guy, I think it’s safe to say you’re better off without him. But it is heartbreaking when things end this way.But Jesse James shows that he’s not a complete and total douche (just 99.9% douche) with his statement: “My whole life has been full of hard decisions. The decision to let my wife end our marriage, and continue the adoption of Louis on her own, has been the hardest. The love I have for Louis cannot be put to words. Not having him around to love and to hold has left a huge hole in my heart. Sandy is the love of my life, but considering the pain and devastation I have caused her, it would be selfish to not let her go.”
Wow. Did not see that coming!
Stacey: Wow. Just wow. I never in a million years would have thought that this would be an outcome of this story.
I wish Sandra and her new son the best luck. I have huge respect for Sandy in her decision to move forward with parenting Louis as a single mother. While it must have been a hard decision, I’m sure she made the best decision for her and her son. A lot have people have been wondering what was taking her so long in filing for divorce. Well, I guess this is why. It could not have been easy.
And while Jesse a really great statement, I actually hated him a little less, my hate also increased when thinking about the fact that this all was going on even after they had adopted this baby together. He is a sick sick man.

June 12th, 2009Random ScentI would like to start by saying how ridiculous this picture is.
Good news this morning. Madonna has won the appeal to adopt baby Mercy from Malawi. Yay.
Congrats to Mo for sticking it out and getting to add another beautiful child to her family.
Congrats to Mercy for basically winning the jackpot.

Nicole wants an Alpaca?
In honor of a cold, icy, snowy April day here in Calgary here’s a little Granny Freeze to warm you while you’re working.
Nicole Kidman took her daughter Sunday Rose out to an Alpaca farm in Sydney where they were looking for an alpaca to adopt.

Hey kid - where'd ya put mum's baggie?
According to the Daily Mail, Amy Winehouse wants to become a permanent resident of St. Lucia and adopt their children.
Eeeek!
These kids would be better off being adopted by a cheese grater, my cat, or even Britney Spears.

Madonna out for dinner with Stella McCartney
Maybe something good came out of the Madonna/Mercy adoption fiasco. All the attention that this case was given let Mercy’s dad know that she was alive, and now he says he’s ready to support her. People reports:
The young man, James Kambewa, tells PEOPLE he didn’t even know his daughter was alive until her name surfaced in the Madonna adoption case. Now a security guard, Kambewa says he learned the girl’s mother, 15-year-old Mwandida Maunde, had died – and assumed their child was dead too.
“Now that I know [Mercy] is alive I am willing to support her,” Kambewa says. He and Maunde were both high school students when they conceived the child. “Her parents were furious that I had messed up their daughter. They caused hell for me so I left town,” says Kambewa.
Stacey: You know, everyone is focusing on Madonna in this situation and all I can think about are the children involved. Not just Mercy but Madonna’s two biological and one adopted children. Its being reported that Mo’s oldest child, Lourdes, is devastated by the failed adoption. I think everyone is forgetting how fragile and emotional children can be, and I can only imagine how hard this must be for everyone involved.
I remember when I was adopting one of my dogs (I compare children to dogs A LOT. Don’t worry, I know they aren’t the same). He lived in a doggy foster home and the place we adopted him had a really long adoption process and we had to do several visits with him. I remember how hard it was every time we had to leave him after another visit. I often left in tears. It must be magnified infinitely and must be so much more devastating as a child.
I hope that Mercy is taken care of and ends up with those who can provide that for her, who ever that may be.
PS. I am starting to become afraid of Madonna’s boobs. They don’t belong on a 50 year old woman.

What's one more?
If the government is against you adopting a child, maybe you shouldn’t adopt.
Madonna is ready to stealadopt another kid from Malawi, this time a little girl named Mercy. The Malawi goverment is against it on “moral ground” because she has a broken home now that she’s divorced Guy and is tramping around town with her own baby Jesus.
Moral reasons? Well that’s obvious. She made a whole carreer on questionable morals. Lot’s of moms have questionable morals though and they’re allowed to have tonnes of kids and spread questionable morals throughout the next generation *cough octo-mom cough*
My problem with Vadge is that she’d be a shitty mom because of her rules. Remember the doctrine of ass rules for the kids when Guy get’s them? A refresher from the Mirror:
Guy can’t introduce the kids to any “new friends”.
He can’t be photographed with them – which he has.
Fast food is completely out of the question as they must stick to a macrobiotic, vegetarian, organic diet and only drink Kabbalah water.
They are not allowed to read newspapers or magazines, nor watch TV or DVDs.
All the clothes they wear are to be 100 per cent natural materials.
Their toys must be spiritually and ethically sound.
When they are out in public their hands must be cleaned with disinfectant spray.
Guy must not discuss break-up.
Madonna must be able to speak to them three times a day.
Bedtime story for David must be from Madge’s English Rose books.
You know how I know you’re gay? You’ve been read the “English Rose” books everynight. These are just the rules for him, the list of rules when staying at mom’s house is probably longer and stricter.
I don’t want to say that living in an orphanage in Malawi is better than English Rose and “ethically and spiritually sound” toys because I have no idea what an ethically or spiritually sound toy looks like. But this is harsh. Are they even allowed to read Harry Potter? How will they fit in at school?
Oh yeah, they can’t. You mom is Madonna and she’s a spiritual nazi. You are destined to a life of scrutiny, isolation, and the only reason she’ll let you date is so she can steal your boyfriend.
Stacey: Oooo, zing, Tanya! Those are some harsh words. And while I do agree Madonna is a bit over the top, I worship her and everything she does. In fact, I am thinking of putting myself up for adoption in Malawi. Do you think she’ll buy that I am a poor, underprivileged child? I hope so.
