Amazing
0
August 18th, 2010MusicActually, it all happened during Love in an Elevator, not Amazing. But still.
Steven Tyler has done it again. He fell off the stage. AGAIN! But this time it wasn’t really his fault. He and Joe Perry were performing at the head of the stage and Steven playfully bumped in to Joe then Joe returned the favor. But I think Joe forgot Steven weighs all of 80 lbs right now and pushed him right off the stage and into the crown. Luckily he wasn’t hurt this time. Well, maybe his ego might be a little banged up but other than that he seemed to be ok.
Unfortunately, I can’t get the video, but you can find it here at TMZ. But just for funsies, here is the video from the last time he fell. As much as I love Aerosmith and Steve, this is hilarious.
Tanya: Maybe it’s time for Steven Tyler to retire from touring. He’s signed on for sure now to be an American Idol judge so maybe he is going to take a break from falling off stages?

So our resident Heidi Klum doppelganger, my dear friend Joy, is headed to Las Vegas this weekend with her hubby to see her favorite band of all time, Aerosmith, who are playing there tonight!
Funny enough, Lainey mentioned Aerosmith being in Vegas as well:
Am looking forward to watching drunk rocker babes throw down on the Strip this weekend.
Ahem. We are looking at you, Joy
Luckily I was able to mention this because there is some other Aerosmith related news circulating this morning. Apparently, Steven Tyler is in talks to become a judge on American Idol. Cool. Random but cool. Also rumored to be on the new season is Jennifer Lopez. Can you imagine these two together? Please. There won’t be enough room for both their egos. And what the heck does J-Lo know about singing anyways? Should be entertaining though.
Tanya: Funny you mention this because just this morning when I saw that Jennifer Lopez was going to be a judge I thought to myself ” who cares who judges this crap?” I guess I have my answer.

December 24th, 2009Music, Random ScentSo after a really strange summer where he fell off a stage, showed up at a liquor store looking like Fergie (which is doubly weird as he is supposed to be a recovering alcoholic) and then allegedly leaving his Aerosmith band mates high and dry, not sure if he had quit or was coming back to the band, Steven has entered rehab for an addiction to pain medication.
“With the help of my family and team of medical professionals, I am taking responsibility for the management of my pain and am eager to be back on the stage and in the recording studio with my bandmates Joe Perry, Joey Kramer, Tom Hamilton and Brad Whitford”…“I love Aerosmith; I love performing as the lead singer in Aerosmith. I am grateful for all of the support and love I am receiving and am committed to getting things taken care of.”
Addiction is a lifelong battle that some must deal with. But good for him for heading back to rehab! Now get better so you can get back out on the road!
Tanya: Good luck Steven!

Since Steven Tyler fell off the stage a few months ago I haven’t heard hyde nor hair of Aerosmith. COuld it be because the singer has left the band? That is certainly what it sounds like.
Recently when asked about Tyler, Joe Perry had this to say:
“I don’t know any more than you do about it. I got off the plane two nights ago. I saw online that Steven said that he was going to leave the band. I don’t know for how long, indefinitely or whatever. Other than that, I don’t know.”
“Frankly, the last few months I’ve been wanting not to rock the boat. I don’t want him cancelling any more gigs. We just kind of didn’t want to call him out or anything and get him anymore pissed off, for whatever reason. So we just let things lie.”
Also, apprently he mentioned that they are also looking for a new lead singer, but not to replace Tyler, simply to “move the Aerosmith… vibe up a notch.”
Hmmmm, move the vibe? I love Aerosmith and everything and Joe rocks and all but Aerosmith without Steven Tyler? That’s not Aerosmith man.
But Tyler should be straight up with his band mates (ex?) if he has left so that they can move on to.
I am sad about his one. Aerosmith is in my top all time fav bands.
Tanya: At this point they should probably all move on, but if just Tyler wants too then why can’t the rest of the boys still rock out? They should change their name though. It’s not Aerosmith without Steven Tyler.
