“I’ll talk to my family,” …. “I talk to Brad; he wants to know as much as he can about these issues and every trip. He’s been here as well; he came with me after the earthquake. But I don’t know, I don’t have a lot of friends I talk to. He is really the only person I talk to.”

Poor Angie has no friends.  You know, a part of me wants to feel bad for her.  And the other part of me doesn’t.  The part that has been cheated on, the part that has been hurt by a guy and the other woman in his life.  Because when you develope a reputation as being a home wrecker other women don’t want to be friends with you.  Because there is a part of girl code that says taking someones boyfriend/husband/partner is not okay. 

And I am not just talking about Brad here.  Angie had a reputation for that long before Brad.  Remember Laura Dern and Billy Bob Thornton?  They were engaged until Laura heard, through the grape vine, that Billy Bob had married Angie.

And remember Oliver Martinez and Kylie Minogue?  She was rumored to be one of Oliver’s flings.  And then Ethan Hawke and Uma Thurman?  Also rumored to be involved there too.

See.  Girls don’t want to be friends with other girls who steal their boyfriends.  Why would they?  They want to be friends with girls who have their back and who they can trust, with anything from borrowing a sweater to being able to trust them around their man.

Maybe Angie should have been less selfish (Come on.  Stealing another girls man is selfish) if she wanted to have some friends. Cry me a river.

Stacey: As far as outfits go, its ok.  As far as outfits go for Angie, lately, this is great.  Although, its as if none of her clothes fit her properly.  Like she doesn’t have a seamstress that taylors all her clothes for her.  I love the shoes though.

I’m beginning to think that Angie is best on the red carpet when she’s with Brad Pitt because she gets the sparkle in her eye. Maybe red carpet events without him just aren’t the same. I’ll admit that events without my hubby kinda feel like I don’t have my confidante, maybe Angie feels the same without Brad.

Stacey: Or maybe its because she is wearing that ugly dress and knows it.  You know how that feels.  When you just aren’t diggin’ what you are wearing then everything else you do kind of reflects that feeling from your hair to your make up to your smile and how you hold yourself.  All of this is a fail for Angie…with or without Brad.

I am sorry, but I absolutely HATE Angelina Jolie’s style lately.  And while this outfit is better than this, I suppose, and slightly better than this or this, I still think she can do infinitely better.  The leg is great but the top of this dress and the hair are just….bluch.  There isn’t even an actual word for how I feel about her style right now.  Assy.  Its all around assy-ness.  Which sucks because she is so beautiful.

And its not the entire outfit all the time.  Its the combination of hair and dress.  It doesn’t match.  And this hair fringe thingy she is trying to work isn’t doing it for me.

And I get she can’t always have the most amazing dress or most incredible hair and make up but isn’t it reasonable for me to expect greatness at least 50% of the time?  I don’t think thats too much to ask.

Tanya: Agreed. This is not a good look. And the hair has been bad lately, but who has time for a hot oil treatment when you’re trying to coordinate a world premiere tour with 6 kids?

Angelina Jolie at the premiere of Salt in Russia

GASP! Angelina Jolie wore something other than black or beige! And I gotta say, she’s looking mighty fine in red. It’s much less “I’m in mourning” and more “I like sex”, which really works for her.

Stacey: I think this dress is terrible.  Like some bridesmaid dress or something.  I am digging the shoes though.  ANd I like that Angie is branching out as far as color goes, but this is not a good dress.  In fact, I think her style has been questionable for the majority of this press run.  Also, not digging on her hair lately.  Its so…motherly.

Ok, so I have already declared that I would like to be adopted by the Garner-Afflecks.  And if I were to be adopted by them there is one family I would for sure want to be friends with (besides the Smiths, of course).  And that would be the Jolie Pitts.  Not because of the parents though.  Because of the kids.  These kids look like they would be so much fun to hang out with!  Minus the smacking in the face, which is surely just brotherly love.

Seriously, each of them seem like they have so much personality.  Miss Zahara is my favorite but Pax’s little suit  with his news boy cap is killing me.  And look at little Maddox getting older!  Do you remember when Angie first adopted him?  And Shiloh looks so adorable in her “montenegro style“, whatever that means, strolling around with her hand in her pocket all chill.  So awesome!  I am sure hanging with them would be super chaotic with tons always going on.

Hey guys!  When I move in with my new family do you want to come to the park and play on the swings and the jungle gym with me?  Then maybe we can get some ice cream or something.  Let me know, ok?

Tanya: While these kids are the epitome of “cool kids” they also give me the vibe of exclusion. Like you’d approach them in the park and they’d stop playing, all stand in a line and be like “why do you think you can talk to us?” Stacey, if you end up being friends with the Jolie-Pitt kids can you please ask them to be nice to me?

I’m interested in seeing Salt. Probably not in the theatre, but I’ll get it from the library when they get it in. Hate on Angie all you want but I enjoy her movies.

Stacey: Surprisingly I want to see this too.  It does look good.  Not in theatres buts its a renter for sure.

However, I will say, without that horrible beard, Brad looks, like, 10 years younger.  Reminds me that there still is some hot under there.

As you all know, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are my least favorite celeb couple, but on occasion, I do have some nice things to say about them.  And this is one of those times.

They have been catching  a lot of flack lately for letting their daughter Shiloh dress like a boy and cut her hair short.  Apparently, to some people, this is bad (???).  News flash, peeps, not all little girls need to wear pink and dress in lace and play with Barbies.  And Angie apparently feels the same way:

“Children should be allowed to express themselves in whatever way they wish without anybody judging them because it is an important part of their growth.”

“Society always has something to learn when it comes to the way we judge each other, label each other. We have far to go”

Here here!  I applaud them for their parenting style.  Letting kids be who they want to be is so important to a child’s growth.  The minute you start trying to change who they are, that’s when beliefs and fears are formed that will shape them for the rest of their lives.  Imagine being a 4 year old like Shiloh and people telling you that you need to dress differently or act differently and not being able to understand why.  Now imagine being her and being allowed to be who you want to be.  How freeing and empowering it would be to be taught to embrace who you truly are.

Tanya: Agreed! I think it’s WAY better for kids to play around with what they want to wear, how they do their hair, etc than to be pigeon-holed into “right” and “wrong”. There IS no right or wrong way to dress as a kid! I think it’s much more important that they dress how they want and not for acceptance. There’s more than enough of that coming around the corner for them at school.

Stacey: Totally with you! 

But my question is why do they need to photoshop Angelina Jolie?  I mean, she has probably one of the most beautiful faces the world will ever see and yet the still photoshopped her?  Wow. 

I guess Angelina Jolie has the same problem because Wyclef Jean has had to give her some advice on the issue:

“I remember my last conversation with her was probably about the baby’s [Zahara] hair and how it was rough,” he said. “Now they use [hair product] Carol’s Daughter for her.”

Angelina Jolie talking to Wyclef about what products to use for Z’s hair just seems really funny to me. I think Brad & Angie need to make friends with Jay-Z and Beyonce so Zahara can get some one-on-one hair tips from B, and while she’s at it Aunty B can help little Z bring out the Diva within.

Stacey: I don’t think that Brangelina and J and B would make good friends.  I don’t think the roll the same.  Brad and Ang seem pretty low maintenance and, well, J and B like to live the good life.

But when are J and B gonna have kids.  They would be so cute!  And could rap/sing like nobody’s business!
