Anne Hathaway stepped out today looking like… looking like she raided my great grandpa’s closet. There’s some old-man loafers, a granny square sweater that my great-grandmother made him for Christmas one year and those pants that – well, I don’t understand the pants either. Loose in the leg but tight on the shin. Hopefully not the next fashion trend.

Any one of these pieces would be questionable on their own. And together they are an utter disaster.

It saddens me to say this because normally I don’t dislike Anne Hathaway.  I don’t love her either but normally I am very “meh” on her.

Except for this outfit.  I mean, the dress is…ok…but the glasses.  I am about to get really mean here, but she looks like that chartoon chipmunk that always wore glasses.  Simon, from Alvin and the Chipmunks.  I mean, she is kind of chipmunk-y looking anyways.  The glasses aren’t helping.

I don’t really understand this trend, the big, dorky glasses.  And I especially don’t get it with an nice dress.  It doesn’t go at all.  What is happening here?

Tanya: Maybe she lost her contacts?

I really dislike this dress. And it makes it worse that she’s holding her arms so far away from it like it’s actually painful for her to touch it.

Earlier I claimedthat Cheryl Cole would not hit the radar on a list of hottest women over here in North America.  Well, I stand corrected.  AskMen just released their annual list of chicks men would most like to bang hottest women.  And Cheryl Cole is sitting at #6.  Hmmm.  Who knew?

I could not be less enthusiastic about the news released by Chris Nolan today about the new cast members to The Dark Knight Rises.

Apparently, the have cast Tom Hardy as Bane…ok, that I am pretty excited about.

But then they cast Anne Hathaway as Catwoman.  Say what?

Ya, not really sure where they are going with this but I just can’t picture it.  Anne Hathaway is so sugary sweet that she makes my teeth hurt when I look at her.  Well, I guess, at least it’s not Cher which was being rumored for a while.

That being said, I also could totally not picture Heath Ledger as the Joker and he ended up playing it perfectly.  So maybe I just need to have some faith in Mr. Nolan’s choices?  I’ll try, but this trying comes with some serious side eye.

Anyways, here are some random pictures of Tom Hardy because or you horny bitches out there who love him have been generating a lot of traffic to our site.  So, what our readers want, our readers get!  Can’t wait to see him as Bane!

Tanya: I’m all for Tom Hardy as Bane. Do you think he’ll break Batman’s back or do you think they’ll end it before that? I think Christopher Nolan only has a 3 movie deal so there probably won’t be another one.

Anne Hathaway as Catwoman. I can see it but I’m hesitant about doing the whole Catwoman thing again. Sure she’s one of the bigger villains in Batman and Michelle Pfeiffer did a good job with her, but after Halle Berry I just can’t think of Catwoman without flinching. I really hope Anne Hathaway nails this one. I would say “Christopher Nolan knows what he’s doing and casts people that are perfect for the role” but he cast Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes in the first one so I have my reservations about his judgment sometimes.

I feel like I’ve been bombarded with Anne Hathaway day after day after day while her and Jake Gyllenhaal are promoting Love and Other Drugs, but I’m still not sick of her. If anything, she’s growing on me more. And I LOVE this shoot for Gotham Magazine. I think Anne Hathaway is totally cute.

Anne Hathaway and James Franco are going to be hosting the Oscars this year too. Does that make you want to watch them? Not me. I watch for the forced smiles after people lose in their category.

Stacey: I am a big fat “meh” on Anne Hathaway.  I mean, I think she is a great role model and all that.  But I saw her on Chelsea Lately the other night and she is just so…vanilla.  My hubby even agreed.  There is absolutely nothing interesting about her.  Which is maybe good.  But I just don’t find her engaging in any way, shape, or form.

Although, did you see her on SNL?  She did a good job actually and her impression of Katie Holmes was bang on.

Tanya: I did see her on SNL and I thought she rocked it. Not only was her Katie Holmes pretty good, but all the other stuff she did was good too. So many people get on there and have zero diversity, but I thought Anne showed that she has some real acting chops.

Here’s Anne Hathaway looking incredibly elegant and regal in November edition of Vogue. I’m getting some strong Audrey Hepburn vibes from her and unlike Jennifer Love Hewitt, she doesn’t come across as crazy. Probably because Anne Hathaway gets dolled up like this for a photo shoot, and Jennifer Love Hewitt does it for attention.

Stacey: I am also getting a squirrel vibe from her.  I know that’s mean, but that’s what she reminds me of; chipmunk or squirrel or something of that nature.  A very pretty one though.

Here’s Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, Michael Sheen, Tim Burton and Helena Bonham Carter premiering Alice in Wonderland in Paris.

According to the cast it’s ‘kid friendly’ and Helena says her 2yr old didn’t find it scary at all, and Johnny Depp said his kids (Lily-Rose & Jack) “loved every character. They weren’t freaked out by it whatsoever.” I don’t know how much I trust these guys kids. I’ve seen how Helena and Tim dress on a daily basis (same as these photos but more black) so they’re probably not afraid of much.

That said, what’s up with Helena Bonham Carter’s shoes? Did she have to walk to the premiere or do you think she bought them that way? “Do you have these ones in a muddy cream?” I have a strange feeling that she made them that way. Bought some new shoes, then wore them in some puddles to get a ‘unique’ effect. Helena, if we’re the same size I’ve got some old dirty shoes you can borrow for premieres. Not even borrow, you can just keep them.

But I do love her Queen of Hearts clutch, and she has some hearts on her dress too. This is custom made ‘hot mess’ specifically for the premiere. I’m excited to see what she wears to the next premieres. Love Anne Hathaway & Mia Wasikowska’s dresses. And I have to say that Michael Sheen is really growing on me as an actor.

Stacey: I would love to be a fly on the wall in her seamstresses studio…”She wants me to make what?  But she will look like a homeless bag lady.  What?  Thats the point?  Ok, I guess I can make something kinda like that”. 

And for the record I love how Johnny Depp dresses…LOVE!

I think Helena Bonham Carter might wear old school knickers. Like 1650 style. I really like HBC (heh, that’s Helena Bonham Carter and not Hudson’s Bay Company of course) but I think she might be just a little past “eccentric” and in the realm of “weird”.
