Ben Affleck has shifted from looking super emo and is now looking more like… John Lennon? No? The homeless guy in the coveralls who walks McLeod and 10th AVE SE (Stacey, you work by there – is the walking homeless guy still a staple in that area or does he pace a different street now?). Even though it’s not a great look, at least it’s not a totally bad look. Much better than Emo Ben.

Seraphina & Violet are pretty adorable though. I wonder if they’re going to have a little brother or a little sister…? Any bets on names for this one? I’m going to guess a daughter named Pearl. Or Ava. Or a son named Boston because there is probably nothing that Ben Affleck loves more than Boston.

Stacey: LOL.  I see that guy every morning.  He is still kickin’ it.  

This Ben reminds me of the Ben that J-Lo dumped.  I can’t find any pictures right now though.  But he does look homeless.

His girls are so cute.  Can’t wait to see Baby Boston.

Jennifer Garner & Emo Ben are expecting baby #3. There’s been speculation on Jenn’s belly for awhile but we’ve mostly stayed out of it until we got official confirmation. Which we now have.

Think they’ll have a little emo boy like daddy or another ridiculously adorable little girl?

Stacey: YAY!  I am doing jumpy claps right now,  I LOVE when these two have kids.  They are hands down the cutest kids in Hollywood.  Plus, I get a new baby brother or sister.  Woot!

Here’s Ben Affleck out and about yesterday looking a little Emo. I’m totally getting “Pete Wentz” vibes from Ben which is not a good thing.

The lesson in this: even if you are a celebrity you can still be too old to push the trends. And you look like a tool when those trends are a few years past their prime.

So.  Last week J-Lo and Marc Anthony announce their divorce.  At first, there was nothing smutty happening.  But of course, it’s J-Lo.  And she is the drama queen to end all drama queens.  We had to know that this divorce wasn’t going to go quietly.

This week Jen’s camp appears to be pushing hard to get your vote in the “Who Wins This Divorce” game that is constantly being played in Hollywood.

J-Lo’s camp is alleging that Marc was controlling, possessive, jealous of her career, and that he may or may not have cheated on her.  And to really stick it to Marc, someone “leaked” that Jen’s mom reached out to a special friend to get advice on her crumbling marriage…Ben Affleck.

Allegedly Ben responded, gave some advice, and wished her well.

Am I the only one giving J-Lo the side eye right now.  To me, if they haven’t kept in contact at all over the last 8 years, this seems desperate, pathetic.  And also really really mean.  Both to Marc and to Jen Garner.  Even if it’s true, is J-Lo such a manipulative, mean spirited bitch that she would intentionally leak this?  Apparently so.

I’m not 100% buying this story.  But it is still juicy enough to discuss.

Tanya: Her mom called Ben to get advice on her crumbling marriage? I call BS on that one. I have a feeling that the Affleck/Lopez clans severed all ties after the split. Especially since both parties have moved on and have families now.

JLo can’t do anything without making it extra smutty.

Who knew a some nudie pics would cause such a good amount of gossip?

Ben Affleck was out with Jennifer Garner and the girls yesterday sporting a black eye which has led many to speculate that the Blake Lively nude pics, where are said to have been taken while she was filming The Town with Affleck, were intended for Ben and when Jenn saw them she freaked out and kicked the crap out of Ben Affleck and then leaked them online for the world to see.

It’s a good theory. However, if Ben was the recipient and Jennifer Garner found them she probably would have given him a black eye, then found someone to release them online looking like some hacker by which time the black eye probably would have healed. And if you knew that your name was already attached to these photos would you go out in public right away with a black eye and further the speculation? Probably not. Ben & Jen are pretty low key to begin with, I think they’d know how to play this one a bit better if it were true.

Maybe Ben Affleck just saw them online for the first time the other day and Jennifer Garner totally busted his face for looking at them.

I like this storyline of Jennifer Garner kicking ass and leaking nude photos to smear another girls image. She always comes across so non-threatening so this new image is kinda fun.

Stacey: Ya, but what better way to make people think it isn’t you then by acting in the way in which you wouldn’t act if it was you?

Did that make sense.

I totally think Jen had something to do with this.  What better way to embarrass the hussy who messed with your husband (allegedly) then leaking nude photos of her just when her “career” is starting to take off?

While Jen has always seemed really nice and polite, even the nicest girls can be bitches.   Sometimes their inner bitch is the worst because they are always hiding and repressing it.

I think the black eye is unrelated though.  Sometimes a black eye is just a black eye.

Probably that his family is being papped when they are out and about.

Or maybe someone asked him about Gigli?

Whatever it is, that is not very appropriate behaviour to display around young, impressionable Violet.  Next thing you know, Violet will be flipping the bird to everyone she sees.  Terrible.

Scratch that.  That would be awesome.

Ben Affleck has a new movie coming out that he did not write or direct but just acted in called The Company Men. I saw a preview for this one a few weeks ago and it looked pretty interesting – it’s about a bunch of mid-upper management types that lose their jobs when the economy tanks and the fact that no one wants to hire mid-management anymore. That sounds kinda boring when I type it out. I swear the trailer made it look interesting.

Ben has also been getting some Oscar buzz over The Town which he did write and direct and act in. Ben Affleck’s done a lot of great flicks over the years. I for one am ready to finally put 2003 & 2004 (the JLo years) aside and give him respect as an actor, writer, director and even family man again. It’s pretty impressive how much damage 3 bad movies (Gigli, Jersey Girl & Daredevil) and one whirlwind romance cost Ben on the reputation front.

Stacey: Hellz ya!  Ben Affleck is the bomb.  I didn’t even judge him back them because everyone makes a few crappy movies.  I think he is awesome.  AWESOME!

Ben Affleck used to be a heart-throb but than the whole “Bennifer” thing with JLo went down and I totally lost interest. But here is Ben Affleck promoting The Town and I gotta say that Ben’s got his hot back. Yay!

Stacey: I would like to say that Ben Affeck is hot however ever since I was adopted by the Affleck-Garners, I think it would be icky to crush on my adoptive father.  Furthermore, it was pointed out to me recently by friends that my younger brother kind of looks like him, but younger…like Ben Affleck circa Dazed and Confused…and with red hair.  And I have to admit, I totally see it.  If I knew how to work photoshop, I would show you, but I don’t so you are going to have to just picture it.

So, adoptive dad + resemblance to brother = unhot.

Tanya:I don’t see the resemblance. Maybe if I squint really hard? No. Still don’t see it. Maybe your ‘friend’ needs to lay off the Paris Hilton coochy drugs (snatch-tescy?).

Stacey: Really?  I totally see it.  Little bro, if you are out there reading this, sorry for plastering your face all over the net to help support my theory

Tanya: OK, maybe. Maybe I can see a slight resemblance. It’s the nose and the chin. I guess I’ve never considered your brother as hot and I’m sorry but I just can’t. Probably because he was my 3rd younger brother (who I yelled at and tormented much less than my blood brothers).

Here is my adopted family, The Affleck-Garners, out and about looking picture perfect.  Look at little Seraphina.  She is so precious.  She might even be cuter than her sister Violet was at that age.  Can’t wait to see these two all grown up!

Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck took Violet and Seraphina to the Manhattan Museum yesterday. It seems like we’ve seen Ben Affleck out with the family a little more lately, probably due to the fact that he just finished The Town and has some more time on his hands. Or because The Town is going to come out soon and nothing drums up awareness for your film like stepping out with your hot wife and adorable daughters.
