Yesterday the celebs all flocked to Coachella to take in some good music. I debated whether I should open this post with a pic of a ripped Kellan Lutz or one of Alexander Skarsgard dressed in non-offensive pants (but still wearing a sweater at an outdoor music festival?) but instead decided to go with Danny DiVito because it ties in with our recent talks of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Danny DiVito is a funny enough looking guy, he really doesn’t need to be wearing Crocs.

Stacey: Tanya.  You decided to put up a pic of Danny DiVito instead of Kellan Lutz?

Do you think that the celebs camp in the dirt with the rest of the peeps that head to Coachella or do you think that they receive some kind of special treatment?

Tanya: No idea. With the amount of effort they put into their appearance each day I’d think that they go home each night and come back the next day or stay in a hotel or something. Maybe they have souped up RVs?

It seems like it has been forever since we have posted about Dita Von Teese.  Mostly because she is pretty boring and doesn’t really do anything but I had to post this picture because I think she looks amazing.  She looks like a perfect little porcelain doll.

Tanya: Yeah, she looks great. Same as always.

I love it.  Dita looks like some sexy British super hero.  Or super villain, I haven’t quite decided yet.

Apparently, to celebrate ten years of direct flights from Las Vegas to London by Virgin Atlantic, the painted a picture of Dita Von Teese on one of their planes.  Why Dita?  Not sure.  But its kind of cool.  And Sir Richard Branson totally cracks me up.  What a weird cat.

Tanya: I get that this is all a marketing strategy but it still seems ridiculous to me. Next time you fly Virgin just remember that this is what you’re paying for: Dita von Tease painted on the side of the planes. Worth the extra $$? That’s your call.

Remember when Britney Spears wore some mesh over a body suit to the Grammy Awards and it we agreed that it was a truly terrible outfit?

Dita Von Teese must have suppressed that memory because he she is wearing the same outfit to a cocktail party. It seriously makes me cringe to look at it this dress. Please don’t let this become the 2009 slut dress. Not only is this dress unflattering to all who have worn it but it makes Dita look OLD. Like she’s the sexy older woman that seduces you but later you find out she’s the grandmother of the kid you babysit.

While I think that Brit Brit looks like a hot mess, I think that Dita pulls this look off well.  It suits her.  And while it is the same idea, I think its a totally different dress.  I think she looks great.  Kinda like a sexy Morticia Addams but thats kind of her thing.

I am starting to feel out of the loop.  Oddly, I don’t have a drug addiction and I never have.  And with all the celebrities coming out claiming their past addictions, I am starting to think that this is the latest hot trend.  Andre Agassi is the latest celeb to come out claiming he used crystal meth in 1997.  He has book coming out next week called “open” which is an autobiography of his life.

So recent celebs that have been involved in this trend: Andre Agassi, Jodie Sweetin, Dita Von Teese, Fergie.

I am not sure why celebs feel the need to announce to the world that they used drugs.  Is it that shocking anymore?  Are they wearing it as badges of honor?  Are the trying to sell books?  I am not judging them, but just trying to figure out the motive.

I just hope this isn’t a trend that continues.  Not to make light of the situation, but the meth might explain Andre’s hair do.

Ok.  Lets play a round of “Who Would You Rather”.  The contestants?  Dita Von Teese and Evan Rachel Wood.

In case you aren’t familiar with their smutty story, here is a refresher.  Dita was with Marilyn Manson for 7 years, then they were married in a lavish wedding and appeared to be heading towards a lifetime of gothy weirdness.  But then, less than a year after their wedding, Marilyn announced that they were divorcing and the he was now with Evan Rachel Wood, who at the time was 18, and that they allegedly were together when he and Dita were still married.  A lot of mudslinging ensued and over time Evan seemed to be transforming into Dita 2.0.  It was a little strange.  Then, a couple of years go by which included a grotesque music video called Heart Shaped Glasses, and suddenly Evan and Manson split, which prompted him to give violent and frightening interviews.  Dita has gone on to date younger more attractive men, Rachel has gone on to date her TV brother, and Manson has gone on to contract the Swine Flu (appropriate, no?).

Anyways, Lainey mentioned that they were both at the same event the other day and upon looking at their pictures, I had a thought.  Who would you rather?  They are both, goth, strong jawed, burlesque-chic, pale faced vixens who have both been infected by Marilyn Manson.  I myself could never understand why Manson would ever choose a young girl over the gorgeous, martini glass dancing Dita, but I am also not a coked out freak. So, I leave it to you…

Tanya: Tough call. Dita looks really good in this photo. Sometimes she looks so smokin’ hot – but other times her choice of fashion makes her look like she’s in her 50′s. Evan on the other hand still has the youthful vigor. Both have the nastiness factor of being with Marilyn Manson (vomit in my mouth).

I’m going to have to go with Evan.

I like her look, and it looks great on the red carpet, but in real life it doesn’t seem right. She’s a little too pale and her look is a little too ’50s. My great-grandma used to dress like that. And have that same pale complexion. And Dita’s starting to remind me of her.

Martini glass –> Old folks home. Dita Von Teese has just lost her sex appeal.

Stacey: I am going to respectfully disagree. I think Dita’s image is refreshing.  Especially since most of the stars walk around looking like carbon copies of each other.  And the pale skin?  When Dita is 70 and still has flawless skin, she will be laughing at those girls who never took care of their skin when they look like they are 70 rather than their real age of 50.

However, the dress does remind me of a set of curtains.  But the shoes are great.

I love Dta Von Tesse.  I think she is incredibly sexy.  She is not your typical cookie cutter blond and does not seem to feel the desire to conform to Hollywood standards of what is beautiful.  And her martini glass strip tease is awesome.

She is apparently dating this new guy, a 25 year-old French count named Louis-Marie de Castelbajac.  He is pretty cute.  And well dressed.  And appears to be normal.  I think that this is a definite step up from Marilyn Manson.  I am a fan of his as well, but lately his weirdness has been a little too much for me.

So, yay for Dita for finding herself a hot piece of young, count, french ass.

Tanya: Maybe it’s the fact that grad season is upon us, but when I first glanced at this photo I saw a proud mom with her son on graduation day. Except Dita looks like she’s the one in the grad gown.

That said, Louis is about 12 flights of stairs (not just one step) up from Manson. And I don’t even know anything about him.

Here’s Dita Von Teese headed home after hosting the “Celebrate Earth Day” fashion show in LA. The show featured reworked and recyled vintage pieces with 100% of the show’s proceeds going to support green charities.
