Apparently David Beckham brought his insane hotness to the Ellen DeGeneres show recently.

Look at how Ellen is looking at Becks.

See.  Becks is so hot that even lesbians want him.

I wonder if she made him dance like all her other guests.  I think I would like to see that.

Tanya: I would SOOO love to see Becks dancing!! I wonder if he’d be smooth like Usher or awkward like Jake Gyllenhaal…

Here’s Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi grabbing lunch yesterday. Earlier in the week Portia filed a request to have her name legally changed to Portia Lee DeGeneres which I think is pretty cool. It can be hard for people to change their names when they get married because you kinda feel like you’re leaving a bit of your identity behind, but I don’t think Portia had too much trouble with that one. She was born Amanda Lee Rogers, changed her name to Portia Lee De Rossi as a teen and is now Portia Lee DeGeneres.

Stacey: I think its hard to change your last name.  I had a hard time anyways.  Not that I am not happy I did it but I remember when I got engaged, thinking about changing my last name overwhelmed me.  And then thinking about having to get a new signature really freaked me out.  And then I had to change all my ID and credit cards and health care, etc…men don’t have to do anything.  When I got married, I suggested we switch last names.  My hubby didn’t go for that.

Beyonce & Jay-Z were top of the list last year also, but with a combined income of $162M. I believe they both toured and had albums this year (Jay’s tour might be after the June cut off though) which is probably why they’re WAY higher earners than the others on the list. Harrison Ford had the new Indiana Jones film come out and I think Calista Flockhart has a TV show?

Suddenly I feel very, very poor. We’ll never be able to affort yachts and Maybach’s on our salaries!!

Stacey: Right before I read this, I was reading some articles on CNN about the earthquake in Haiti and how millions of people are now homeless and hungry and have no place to go.  In perspective, it makes this whole list seem so shallow and silly.  Juxtaposition, you got me again.

But really, I wish I were as rich as J and B.  Then I could buy a house made of chocolate (odd thing to want, I know, but its a fantasy of mine really).

I don’t watch American Idol so I don’t really care who is judging it but I must say I was surprised to hear that Ellen DeGeneres is replacing Paula Abdul as the 4th judge this season. What music experience does she have aside from the time she went carolling with Britney Spears? (photo above)

And for you fans of her day show – it’s staying on the air: “I’m going to have a day job and a night job”. lol, both Stacey & I have had the pleasure of having a day and night job and we wish you the best of luck Ellen. Hopefully your jobs are a little less demanding than ours

Stacey: Well, if my day or night job paid me millions of dollars, like I am sure both of Ellen’s are, I would have no issues working 2 jobs.  But, alas, we are not that fortunate.

As for Ellen being on AI.  This is why I hated these shows when I had cable.  Ellen is saying she is just like everyone else watching. People think that just because they have eyes and ears that makes them qualified to judge something, like AI or So You Think You Can Dance.  Its just a big popularity contest.  The crowd boos the judges after they give an honest and accurate judgement on a contestant…guess what people, sometimes they were bad…sometimes they do actually suck!  Just because they are likable does not make them good singers or dancers.

But Ellen will replace the “nice” factor that Paula had.  

I still won’t be watching.  

ParentDish.com did a poll for Mother’s Day asking which celebrity you would rather leave your kids with. Ellen DeGeneres & Portia de Rossi scored #1, followed by Jennifer Aniston, then Brad & Angie.

Of course, the fact that people think Ellen & Portia would be the best with kids gets overlooked to focus on Jenn vs Angie.

Personally, if Ellen & Portia were booked for the night, I’d rather leave my kids with Brad & Angelina over Jennifer Aniston. I get the impression that Jenn isn’t so hip to kids and they wouldn’t be allowed to touch anything in her house. Maddox might let the kids play with his knives, but I’m sure Brad & Angie know First Aid should anything go awry.
