So after making you feel skinny with the Pink post I’m going to make you feel fat with an Emma Watson post. Here she is in her sports bra headed to the gym looking young, fit and skinnier than you (probably). Love how she’s trim but it really looks like it’s a healthy skinny and not totally emaciated skinny.Stacey: I <3 Emma.

March 7th, 2011Random ScentEmma Watson has posted on her blog that she’s taking a break from Brown, but intends to go back to finish off her studies.
“As you know, I love Brown and I love studying pretty much more than anything but recently I’ve had so much to juggle that being a student AND fulfilling my other commitments has become a little impossible,”.
“I’ve decided to take a bit of time off to completely finish my work on Harry Potter (the last one comes out this summer) and to focus on my other professional and acting projects. I will still be working towards my degree… it’s just going to take me a semester or two longer than I thought : )”
It took me 8 years to finish my University degree so I totally understand. Working, school, life, family, they all demand time and sometimes there’s just not enough to go around. Not to mention that school is not very flexible when it comes to deferring exams or projects, especially if the reason you can’t be there is because “I have to attend the Burberry fashion show that day because I am a spokesperson”.
Emma Watson isn’t the only Harry Potter cast member having troubles filling multiple commitments – Daniel Radcliffe is in the upcoming Broadway presentation of How to Succeed in Business but the shows conflict with Harry Potter promotional appearances so Warner Brothers bought out the entire theatre for a week to free up Daniel’s schedule.
Also speaking of Harry Potter, Stacey is at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter today. Bitch.

Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint were all on hand in London to premier Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and holy crap, Emma Watson looked smokin’ hot. There’s pictures of DanRad and Mr Grint over at Celebitchy, but I’m saving this space for Emma Watson who is my girl-crush of the moment. Smart and beautiful.
Only one more week ’till we North Americans get the new Harry Potter!!
Stacey: I am. So. Excited. We saw a preview on TV the other day and I got goose bumps. Goose bumps! So excited.

Last night I had a dream about Emma Watson. We were just hanging out at school, having girl talk, and sharing a good laugh. Nothing too crazy (no mice families living in top hats) but I enjoyed it so when I saw this picture of Emma Watson on campus today with her real friends I thought I’d post it.Stacey: I like Emma. A lot. I’d want to hang out with her too. I don’t dream about her or anything. But its all too tame for me. I dream of mice families living in top hats.

Here’s Emma Watson out with some friends in London and it might just be the way her sweater is folded but it totally looks like she missed a button.Funny story: I went for breakfast with my brother the other day and I think my knock at the door must have woken him up because he was still really out of it when he answered the door. He was trying to button up his shirt and the first time was a fail (much like the pic here of Emma Watson) so I pointed it out to him and he tried again – and totally failed again!! I think it was the third attempt that finally succeeded, but it might have been the fourth. It was like he couldn’t comprehend that lining up the bottom of the shirt would let him know where to start, instead I think he just grabbed a random button and button hole and tried to make it work from there.

August 5th, 2010Random ScentEmma Watson is far more brave than I would ever be. Emma is hitting the gossip columns today after chopping of her beautiful hair and sporting this cute new do and having this to say on her FB page:
Dear all. Cut my hair off a few days ago… Feels incredible. I love it. I’ve wanted to do this for years and years; it’s the most liberating thing ever. Hope you like. Big love from Emma x”.
Personally, I admire her for taking the leap. I did the same thing when I was younger. After years and years and years of having long hair that I could never cut because I needed to get it into a bun for dance and baton, a week before my graduation, I chopped it all off and dyedwhat was left platinum blond. It was crazy! And I cried and immediately grew it back. While I loved the liberation, I had cut off my proverbial security blanket. And I also realized how much I identified my femininity with my long hair. It was wonderful and horrifying all at the same time and I will probably never do it again.
And I know if I were in Emma’s place with the whole world watching and judging, I would never have the balls to do it. So good for her. It looks great on her. She has the perfect little face for it. And it speaks volumns to how beautiful a woman is when they can rock both long and pixie short blond hair.
Tanya: Love it! Emma Watson is beautiful and can totally rock the pixie cut. It would be tough not being allowed to change your look for so many years, especially the teenage years. I think in HS I changed my look weekly – but it didn’t always work out for the best. Emma Watson has the added bonus of being able to afford a weave if the short hair doesn’t work out or a good professional colour when she realizes that blue streaks in red hair aren’t the best combination

Here’s Bonnie Wright, Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson at the National Movie Awards last night. I think Bonnie Wright is the best, but this dress isn’t really working for her. It needs to come in a bit at the sides. Unless it’s being kept loose for a reason… is Bonnie Wright engaged to Jamie Bower Campbell because she’s pregnant?! Gasp!Heh. Probably not. I’m probably just starting rumors but if Bonnie Wright is pregnant, you heard it here first. That’s right, it’s an I Smell Smut Exlusive!
Stacey: Bonnie Wright is pregnant! No way. I am telling everyone I know!
BTW, someone needs to start dressing Daniel Radcliffe. His suits or the worst! And, I love Harry, but he totally reminds me of Frodo. Just sayin’.

May 25th, 2010Random ScentUniversal Studios just opened their Wizarding World of Harry Potter theme park in Orlando, Forida!
I am just so excited. Some of the rides include The Dragon Challenge and Flight of the Hippogriff. AND you can walk through the halls of Hogwarts and try on THE SORTING HAT!!!! Some of the stores include The Owl Post and Ollivanders where you walk through the experience of having your wand choose you! Check out all the awesome stuff here.
Ok, Stacey, breath!
My hubby and I are doing another trip to Florida next year and we are flying in and out of Orlando. I have made him promise that we do one day at Universal so I can go. I am so excited I am kind of hyperventilating.
The stars of the movie were invited for a sneak peek this week. Lucky ducks!
Tanya: I TOTALLY want to go. I priced it all out and my hubby said “wait till we have kids”. :’( But what if that’s a ways away and then by the time they’re old enough to know and love Harry Potter the park is shut down? And what if we never have kids?? And what if our kids decide to rebel and HATE Harry Potter??? GASP!! We should probably just go now.

Emma Watson is in this month’s Vanity Fair and talks about the transition from famous English actor, to being a Freshman at Browns University. On her first frat party: “I felt like I’d walked into an American teen movie. I picked up the red cups. I was like, Wow, they really do drink from these.”
On her acting class: “I think actually I’m the worst person in the class,”
And on feeling “normal”: “I was scared before I came to Brown—that I wasn’t going to be allowed to have both [a career and a normal life]. People would think that I didn’t deserve to have both. [I was afraid they'd think], You’re famous. You’re given free handbags. Why should you deserve to be normal?”
Fact: In 2009 Emma Watson was the highest paid actress in Hollywood.
Stacey: Really? Cool! For the record, I would totally freak out if I saw Emma out at a party. I would be all “Oh my gosh! Its Harmione Granger”! And he a big giant loser and ask her about Victor Krum and stuff. Hey, I never claimed to be cool or be able to control myself. Tanya, I am sorry in advance if we see her together and I embarrass you.
Tanya: I’d be the exact opposite. I’d be worried that she’d think I was just talking to her because she’s famous so I’d make no reference to it at all, or maybe just a small one. “Oh hey, aren’t you in Dawson’s Econ 201 class? That midterm was balls.” But the inner monologue in my head would just be like “OMG!OMG!OMG!OMG! Emma Watson!! The face of Burberry!!! SWEET!!!!”

Here’s a round-up of the best and the average outfits at the 2010 MET Gala. Worst dress list to follow!Best: Blake Lively, Emma Watson and Satsuki Mitchell. Blake’s dress is a great colour and the cut suits her – I just hope this is a standing event or someone is going to get a show. Emma’s dress is crisp and fresh with the right combination of Greco-Roman-call-girl (that is a compliment, I guess). And Satsuki Mitchell keeps it classy when all these other ladies are just over the top. Plus her dress brings out Daniel Craig’s eyes. Awwww!
Zoe Saldana & Gwen Stefani were THIS close to getting on my best list but their outfits are just a little off. Zoe’s looks good when she does the ‘over the shoulder’ look but head on it’s a little too much and Gwen’s kinda looks like either cotton batting or spiderwebs. It’s not doing it for me.
JLo, please, honey, tone it down a little.
Stacey: This year was a little disappointing for me. I didn’t love love love anyone’s dress. Ok, maybe Emma Watson. Actually, oddly, I really liked Katy Perry. It was fun and adventurous and had tons of personality…just like her! Other than that, it was a big, fat “meh” from me. Boring!
