People Magazine is reporting that Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie are expecting their first child together.

Really?  Well, she must be freshly preggo because earlier this week this Danskin ad was released featuring a very flat tummied Hilary.

Well, I guess this is a good time for Hil to have a baby because Mike can be at home to help with the newborn since he is taking time off this season to get healthy (translation: no team would sign him because he is a big sack of crap).

Congrats to the couple.  Hilary’s transformation into hockey WAG is nearly complete.

Tanya: Wow. Hil has a crazy stomach. Too bad it’s about to be destroyed FOREVER.

Too dramatic? In all reality it won’t be destroyed forever. It’ll just take a lot of work to get it back. Since she’s a Hockey Wife she won’t have to work and will probably have a nanny so she should have enough time to hit the gym if she wants that back.

I have said it a million times an di will say it again.  I love the way Hilary Duff dresses.  Although she annoys me to no end in every other aspect of her life, I love her style.  I love this whole outfit.  I wish I were wearing it right now.

Tanya: I have a hard time appreciating Hil’s style because I often can’t get past the annoyingness of her. Just like if Lindsay Lohan wore a really great outfit – it would be hard for me to actually appreciate it. Thankfully Hilary Duff is WAY less annoying than LiLo and I can look past her hockey wife ways and admit that I too would totally wear this.

Stacey, you mentioned earlier that you love Hilary Duff’s style. Does that include the leather pants?

Stacey: If I looked like Hil, I would wear leather pants.

See.  While Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie maybe be one of my least favorite celeb couples, I still totally love her style.  This whole outfit, from top to bottom is super cute!

Tanya: You know whose style I totally love? Rachel Bilson. We don’t post about her much because she never really does anything interesting, but I love her look. Even when she’s super casual she’s still put together.

Stacey, I think you could rock a lot of these looks. We should go shopping together one day.

Here is Hilary Duff straight up offending my eyes with her bronzer.   Its too much.  Or maybe not the right color?  What ever it is, it isn’t working.

Truth be told, Hilary used to be one of my favorites.  I love her style.  I still do.  If I were rich and/or famous I would dress exactly like Hil.  And I liked her and Mike Comrie together.

But then she started giving public BJs.  And then her and Mike started selling ever aspect of their wedding to the tabloids.  You know, I thought she was above that.  Apparently she isn’t.  And she and Mike went from being one of my favorite celeb couples to being one of my least fav celeb couples.

So because I no longer like Hilary Duff, I don’t feel bad for judging her for bronzy face.

Tanya: I liked her more when she started to give public BJs. Yesterday there was news that she was pregnant. Seven months pregnant. Say what? She has since denied it (and was photographed headed to the gym yesterday).

I’ve never really liked Hilary Duff but haven’t had much of a reason to dislike her. She’s like Carrie Underwood – they’re both trying to maintain relevancy but know that it’s a never ending battle so they married hockey players to ensure they’d always have money and that little bit of publicity that comes with it. I guess I’m OK with that over the Kardashians who do the same thing with basketball players because no one paps hockey games so I don’t have to see these girls very often.

Here’s Hilary Duff at some event with what I can only describe as “Hockey Wife Hair”. It’s the hair of the woman who married rich and wants to keep looking young and fresh. Usually the 40 year old trying to look 25, but in Hilary Duffs case it’s making the 23 year old look 35.

Stacey: What is this hair do?  Its terrible.

Ever since Hilary Duff married Mike Comrie she has changed in my eyes. She’s no longer “actress Hilary Duff” because now she is “hockey wife Hillary Duff”. She worked hard to make a name for herself and keep herself pretty and now she can kick up her heels in her VIP booth, flash her $1 Million engagement ring, pop out some little Comrie babies and know that she’s set for life. As long as she keeps giving the BJs to her billionaire husband.

Stacey: Is it wrong that I am judging her for selling everything about her wedding to the tabloids?  As one of the celebs who I thought really didn’t play the game, this is kind of disappointing.  I saw somewhere that they only spent 3 days in Cabo.  For people so wealthy without any other obligations, it kind of  seems like a waste of time to fly down there for 3 days…unless they flew down strictly to get this photo to sell to the tabloids?

Ok, so I know these pictures are a little old but my hubby emailed them to me and thought they were hilarious.  Plus, celeb gossip is super slow right now aside from the whole Jesse James is an asshole thing.  And we can only report on the same thing for so long.

So, the story goes that Mike Comrie took his girlfriend Hilary Duff on vacation and proposed to her.  She was super excited, obviously really surprised, took some pics, called some friends.  All the typical girl things right?

So how does a girl show her happiness to her man?  Well, from the looks of the picture, that is definitely one way to show your appreciation.

Is she doing what I think she’s doing?

No.  No, she couldn’t be.  Someone this famous, who is always being followed by cameras wouldn’t be careless enough to get caught doing that.

Would she?

Tanya: She got a ring, he got a rimmer. Everybody wins

Hilary Duff isn’t one of my all time favs.  And now that she is engaged to Mike Comrie, I like her a little less.  But, I do think she is super cute.  And normally like the way she dresses.  Especially this outfit.  Love this outfit.  It is so cute!  From the glasses to the wrap to the awesome leather jacket.  I want this exact outfit.

Growing up there were certain girls who always wanted to marry a hockey player. I thought maybe it was because there isn’t glory in women’s hockey so the only way to get the glory of men’s hockey is to be a hockey wife.

Today I stand corrected. It’s the money. I’m feeling pretty dense right now. Of course it’s for the money. Athletes are gone travelling for much of the season and they have pretty solid reputations for sleeping around so why would you want to commit to that? Ask Kobe Bryant’s wife.

Anyway, Hilary Duff and Mike Comrie are now engaged. Here she is with her 14 karat, $1 million engagement ring.

Most of the gossip sites are calling “bride wars” with Nicole Richie (recently engaged to Joel Madden) but wouldn’t this be closer to a bride war with Carrie Underwood & Mike Fisher? Fisher & Comrie were both Senators last year and the reports I’ve read said that Carrie & Hilary wouldn’t sit next to one another at the games. Gloves off ladies! This can make for some good smut.

Oh, and congrats on the engagement

Stacey: My mom and I were talking about that at a hockey game when all that Tiger stuff was coming out.  As a Sports Wife you would just have to be comfortable with the fact that your husband is cheating on you.  As much as it is a stereo type, it is a stereo type for a reason.  Tiger isn’t the first sports figure to cheat on his wife or GF.  Goodness no!  But what would you sacrifice for the solace of knowing you would live comfortably for the rest of your life and that your children would be well taken care of?  What would you give up for the status and the luxuries?  Clearly, a lot of women are willing to give up monogamy for those things.  And who knows, maybe some of them are smart enough to make a deal that involves them getting to enjoy a little action on the side?

As for Kobe, though, at least he seemed like he was sorry.  Instead of Tiger, who just seems like he is sorry he was caught!
