Oh Leighton Meester.  I want to like you, I really do.  I want to write nice things about what you wear but you are constantly dressed like, well, like this.  What the hell kind of GD outfit is this?

Its horrible.  The color, the cut, the weird chiffon flowy thingy.  Its all wrong.  And it is sooooo unflattering.  Like, this is the type of outfit that starts the “is she maybe pregnant” whispers.  Which is totally unfair because you are so thin.

But this “dress” and anything like it needs to stop.  Immediately.  Because while you are dressed like this, Blake Lively is being named Ask Men’s hottest woman.  Look, I am not saying that is what you need to strive for too, but your attire is not helping anything.  Actually, I am not quite sure what you are trying to accomplish with this outfit.  If it is to make us all think you have either the worst stylist ever or no style at all, you are definitely hitting your mark because this is exactly what I am thinking.

Tanya: Some days I would argue that Leighton Meester is hotter than Blake Lively but when Leighton dresses like this and Blake wears things that are crazy sexy I can’t really ever say it because you’ll think I’m crazy.

Here is Leighton Meester on the front of Allure, not dressed like a weirdo (for once), wearing some sexy lingerie.  But I don’t know…is this better than the weird outfits?  Is this hot?

Tanya: Eh, I’m gong to go with “no”. This is not better than her weird outfits. There’s something about her body language in this that just isn’t working for her.

Here’s Leighton Meester at some Herbal Essence event in Madrid looking super cute and wearing something that’s at least somewhat ‘normal’.

Stacey: Wow.  She actually looks really pretty here.  I love this whole outfit.  And the make up.

Yesterday I was hating on Blake Lively because I have had enough of her.  For the record, I wouldn’t object so strongly if the was just trying to be a hot body.  But she is a hot body trying to use her hot body to be taken seriously as an actress.  Just be a hot body!  I am tired of the over reachers (Blake, Jessica Biel/Alba).  I would be thrilled to be known as a hot body.  I would be all “Hell, I don’t need to be anything else, I’m a hot body!”.

Anyways, I was ganged up on by Tanya and Cory and then some how Leighton Meester got thrown in the mix and the question was brought up of why don’t we show Leighton more in tight little outfits.

Well, this picture is why.  Because she has a terrible stylist.  And wears terrible outfits like this.  I will admit that while I don’t like Blake, I do prefer her to this.  Its not good.  If Leighton were in Blake’s wardrobe, it would be an entirely different conversation (read: I would be hating on Leighton for being a hot body, trying to be an actress when really they have no talent).

This outfit is like they took Blake’s from yesterday and just wore the material a different way.

Tanya: Yeah, when Cory asked for more scantily clad women I didn’t think this was his goal. This is just awful.

As I was wading through the 100 bazillion photos from last night’s MET Costume Gala I noticed some shoe similarities. Take a look at the above ladies: Leighton Meester, Victoria Beckham & Madonna. All of their outfits were more “statement” outfits (as opposed to “looking good” outfits) and all chose a similar shoe. A bulky flaring heel with a bobble. Posh with a simple strap, Leighton with a bow and Madonna decided showing off her arms was good enough so she covered her legs with a boot version. Who invented this?

A quick search tells me that Madonna is wearing Louis Vuitton, Posh is in Marc Jacobs, I don’t know what Leighton is in, and yet none of the sites mention the shoes. Those shoes. I really hope this is a “one night only” shoe and is NOT a new trend.

Stacey: What in holy heck is going on with shoes nowadays?  I think they all are supposed to be very “high brow”, that us peons would never wear.  I like Posh’s shoes but could never wear them, or afford them for that matter.  I love Madge’s as well, but would I wear them?  Maybe if I were a stripper.
