The Billboard Music Awards happened last night but as today is a holiday and I’m all kinds of tired, we’re probably not going to post much of it. Here is the highlight that I saw: Nicole Kidman looking really great on the red carpet.

I’m just speculating here, but after she showed up at the Grammy awards last night in yet another good dress I have come to the conclusion that Nicole Kidman has hired a new stylist. Last week she said that Sunday likes to dress her so maybe I should give credit to Nicole Kidman’s daughter for having better taste than she does.

I could do without the mermaid flair on this dress, but the colours and the cute are really working for Nicole. It makes me so happy to see her dressing great and looking hot again.

I agree with most of the “Least Desirable” spouses list but the “Most Desirable” ones are a bit off. Kate Moss & Gisele Bundchen?? Kate Moss is about as desirable and Pete Doherty and Gisele Bundchen sounds like she takes away your balls once she gets the ring.  As for the men, well, we see the problems right off the bat: Prince Harry and Justin Bieber. Bieber’s balls haven’t dropped yet and Prince Harry would probably be one of those “you’re probably going to see something in the tabloids that looks really bad, but it totally isn’t what it looks like” kinda guys. He’d be fun to date, but I’d say not a desirable husband.

Stacey: Clearly this poll came from somewhere overseas and was filled out by Brits and 12 year olds.  Because people like Kate Moss and Cheryl Cole would not even hit the radar over here.  Ok, Russell Brand over Brad Pitt?  That just doesn’t seem right.

Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban at the Golden Globes

Yes, you read that correctly – Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman are the proud parents to a new baby girl who was carried by a surrogate mother. Faith Margaret Kidman Urban was born December 28th.

“Our family is truly blessed, and just so thankful, to have been given the gift of baby Faith Margaret,” the family says in a statement. “No words can adequately convey the incredible gratitude that we feel for everyone who was so supportive throughout this process, in particular our gestational carrier.” (via People)

Wow. Did not see that coming.

Congrats to Keith, Nicole and Sunday for the new addition to the family!

(PS. do you think it’s weird that they said “gestational carrier”? I do. It’s so clinical.)

Stacey: You can add this to my list of exceptions to my not caring about having babies.  I totally care about this.

I love “gestational carrier”.  It must be the new politically correct term.  For the record, I am going to call all pregnant ladies this from now on.  Gestational carriers.

PS.  I am a little over their baby names.  Sunday Rose?  Faith?  *eye roll*.  Maybe I just don’t understand because I have no desire to birth any offspring but I just think they are a bit much.  But what do I know?

I just saw a picture of Michelle Williams in some lace & tapestry ensemble and thought to myself “she must be sharing Nicole Kidman’s wardrobe these days”, but then I saw THIS! Nicole Kidman dressed in a great outfit!! Totally love it. It’s young, it’s trendy and it’s super flattering for her body. It also helps that she’s rocking the red hair and her face looks like it might even be able to move. Yay!

Speculate all you want about Nicole Kidman’s face, her body shape or how her muscles may be starting to atrophy due to prolonged Botox use, but I’m going to focus on this dress. Because it was obviously borrowed from Wednesday Addams.

Stacey: I think the hair and face look amazing.  But I am not sure if someone told her that outfit or if she straight up stole it off of Wednesday’s back.  Either way, it should be burned immediately after this wear.

Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban (who I usually think of as “Granny Freeze” and “Billy Ray 2.0″) were on Oprah the other day and opened up about their relationship and how Nicole Kidman staged an intervention for Keith Urban to encourage him to get his act together. They had only been married for four months at the time and Keith Urban was pretty sure that she was just going to walk away from the marriage.

“Absolutely. Thats the point right there, where she should have just walked….I’m just so glad she didn’t. She made a decision to turn around and initiate this adventure.”

That was the third time in eight years that he had been in rehab, but knowing that his wife was behind him was one of the things that helped him complete his program.

Nicole Kidman said of her marriage:

“Marriage is about everyday trying to make it better and working through things,” she said. “And when things are tough, saying, ‘I’m going to come and talk to you.’”

So true. And hearing Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman talk about it makes me like them a little more. They seem a little more “real”.

Nicole Kidman has had a LOT of work done on her face and I hear when you see her in person she looks all creepy.

So if she tries so hard to cling to a youthful face, why does she always dress like she’s super old?? It doesn’t make sense to me. If you want to look young and fresh, dress the part, don’t wear something that it looks like you might have crocheted yourself in some free time from the grandkids. Madonna has roughly 10 years on Nicole and she dresses like she’s 17 which makes her look about 35 (if you ignore the face. The face makes her look roughly 1,000 years old). On the other hand Keira Knightly is 25 but sometimes dresses like she’s 85 which gives her the appearance of being about 40.

I’m not saying Nicole has to slut it up, but wearing something that has a little colour or shape, or perhaps doesn’t cover her full neck and arms might help out a bit. Along with getting her hair done. Even just a blow dry would help at this point.

Stacey: Ya, she look like an old woman.  She used to be so stylish…when did that change?

I’m not sure why Nicole Kidman goes back and fourth between being a vibrant redhead and Granny Freeze. The red is so much better on her! It softens her features, takes at least 10 years off her look and makes her look much more approachable. Her face also looks like it has a natural glow… not sure if this is make up or due to the hair colour, but it looks great.

I’m also totally digging this dress.

Stacey: It drives me crazy when red heads don’t embrace their gingerness.  Gingers are awesome.  My brother is a ginger, Tanya is, I am strawberry blond, one of my other good friends is…be proud of your color!  And Nic is way better when she lets herself be natural.

I know there was a lot of speculation surrounding Nicole Kidman’s pregnancy to whether or not she was actually pregnant or if someone else had the baby for her because she stayed so thin during her pregnancy.  I, for one, now a couple ladies who have had a few children and for each one staying super fit by eating well and continuing to work out.  So, I believe that Nicole actually birthed this child.

I remember when her and Tom Cruise split up and it was reported that she miscarried their child from the stress of the ordeal.  And it was well known that she had trouble getting pregnant at all. So when it was announced that she was pregoo with Keith Urban I was so so happy for her.

An this picture totally melts my heart.  Look how happy they look together!  I can’t believe how big Sunday Rose is getting.  She is so cute!  I know we love the smut and to speculate that maybe the baby isn’t really hers and that Keith and Nicole have a marriage “contract”, but isn’t it possible that this is a happy family?

Tanya: They are cute. And they look so happy (remember, they see the cameras there and smile) and I believe that they actually are happy I hope this marriage stays smut free.
