Sorry for the slow posting lately, peeps.  Its just that gossip has been so boring lately.  Nothing seems to be grabbing my attention.  And while it is probably terrible ju-ju for me to wish for a big celeb gossip scandal…I am hoping for a big celeb gossip scandal.

But in the mean time, here is a picture of Rihanna on the front of Rolling Stone Magazine, rocking some amazing metal-looking shorts, hypnotising us with her amazing ass, to get us all through the gossip drought.  Enjoy!

Ryan Phillippe and Amanda Seyfried have been dating for the last few months since he broke things off with home wrecker ex girlfriend, Abbie Cornish.  And I judged them.  Well, mostly her because this guy is a straight up d-bag and known philanderer.  Why would you chance it with a dude like this?

Anyways, a couple of weeks ago there was a report that Ryan tried to step to Rihanna and she denied him.  Following that report, there was rumors that Ryan and Amanda’s relationship had cooled…well, I would hope so!  Dude is hitting on other girls and it is being reported in magazines for everyone to read.

Well, apparently, that denial was all a show because RiRi and RyRy have allegedly been hooking up on the DL for months.  And they even had a “sleep over” the other night after her birthday.  Says a “source” of the bday hook up:

“They totally had sex. And it wasn’t even the first time!”

How embarrassing for Amanda, right?  I mean, not only is her boyfriend, or whatever, hitting on other women, so much so that they are writting about it everywhere, but Us Weekly is calling their relationship “non exclusive” and now claiming he is sleeping with other women.  Ew.  I feel sad for her.  Like, hardcore fontrum.  Hopefully she kicks him to the curb.

Are you judging RiRi a little here too?  Because I am.  Ryan Phillippe?  Ew.

And you know that Ryan is just loving all of these rumors.  Because a guy like this gets off on everyone thinking he has two girls at his beckon call.  See.  Douche.

Tanya: Amanda Seyfried has done quite a few interviews lately where she says she’s single and denies dating Phillipe so if anything was going on, it’s totally off now.

I don’t know about the Rihanna thing though. Rihanna has been reportedly “linked” to a lot of guys lately and I get the feeling it’s mostly speculation (check it: Travis Barker, Drake, Colin Farrell and now Ryan Phillippe?). She’s been doing appearances pretty much everywhere so I’m not sure where she has the time for all these romantic encounters.

Here’s an interesting take on things:

“She’s literally made normal artists and music boring, which bothers me,” Jessie J told OK!.
“It annoys me when people say Leona Lewis is boring. No, she’s not. She’s got a sick voice and being normal is cool,”

So what’s your take on this? Does Lady Gags set the entertainment bar so high that “normal” artists are being left behind?

I can see why normal artists might feel that way. Going on stage before or after someone with a huge stage show, 4,000 costume changes and a larger than life persona could be a little intimidating. But as a music lover and a concert goer myself I’ve gotta say that I like the more authentic artists. Seeing Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Madonna or Lady Gags with a huge stage show and all that jazz would be pretty cool, but seeing them in an intimate acoustic setting would be just as cool. When I get to see any of the artists I love at an intimate venue without thousands of other people is actually my favourite thing. Because I like the music, not the hype.

This whole story kinda reminds me of Rihanna. When she first hit the scene she was a cute little Baha babe that had a bit of a reggae flavour and was super laid back. Then I don’t know if it had to do with discovering herself as an artist, as a person, or just trying to distance herself from the whole Chris Brown/being the victim scenario but she started to get really edgy with her look and it just never seemed genuine and she never seemed to be happy. Now that she’s returning to her roots a bit she just seems to be in a better place. I know this is a totally superficial assessment of Rihanna’s emotional well-being paired with her public persona, but that’s what we do around here.

So, what’s your take? Does Lady Gags make it harder for normal artists because in comparison they are boring, or do you think that’s just in the head of artists and the industry?

Stacey: I would say there is an argument to support that.  I mean, Gags maybe talented but it is completely overshadowed by the theatrics of everything she does.  And in a society when we are completely bombarded by stimulus, it takes so much more for people to take notice than just having a good voice.  There are literally thousands of artists out there with great voices; how do you make yourself stand out?  By being like Lady Gags. 

The other issue seems to be that people seem to equate outrageousness with talent.  So, while Gags is out there being a mediocre singer and dancer, her theatrics are what really draw people to what she is doing.  Honestly.  I hear her stuff on the radio.  The only reason I ever took notice to her music was because of the image she put out there; when she was on the radio, I turned it up because I wanted to hear the person who matched the over the top, outrageous outfits.   Her music is nothing special and was never what grabbed my attention in the first place.

It’s not about the talent anymore, its only about the show.  And soon enough, we will get board of Gags and the next over the top, mildly talented artist will take her spot.  All while thousands of other infitely more talented artists will striggle to try and make it, all because they don’t have that gimic that makes someone famous for their 15 minutes.

I agree with most of the “Least Desirable” spouses list but the “Most Desirable” ones are a bit off. Kate Moss & Gisele Bundchen?? Kate Moss is about as desirable and Pete Doherty and Gisele Bundchen sounds like she takes away your balls once she gets the ring.  As for the men, well, we see the problems right off the bat: Prince Harry and Justin Bieber. Bieber’s balls haven’t dropped yet and Prince Harry would probably be one of those “you’re probably going to see something in the tabloids that looks really bad, but it totally isn’t what it looks like” kinda guys. He’d be fun to date, but I’d say not a desirable husband.

Stacey: Clearly this poll came from somewhere overseas and was filled out by Brits and 12 year olds.  Because people like Kate Moss and Cheryl Cole would not even hit the radar over here.  Ok, Russell Brand over Brad Pitt?  That just doesn’t seem right.

You know.  I feel we don’t give Rihanna enough love here.  And we should.  Because she is awesome.  I think she is talented, gorgeous, unique, stylish.

Look at this girl.  I love everything that is going on in this picture.  Really, I wish I were cool enough to pull this look off.  It would look terrible on me though.  For sure.  Mostly because I look awful in red.  And grey.

Katy Perry, Rihanna, and Katy’s best girl pals were in Vegas over the weekend throwing Katy a Bachelorette party.  So fun!  That must mean Katy and Russell are getting married soon.  Can’t wait to see what kind of wedding they have.

Alright, so it’s more like a “Naval uniform” but the idea is the same. Alexander Skarsgard is currently in Hawaii to film Battleshit (typo, but it stays) and is looking mighty fine in his uniform. I may harp on this movie for being a ridiculous idea, but I’m still going to see it. ASkars, Rihanna and Taylor Kitsch? If not a good movie, it’ll still be entertaining.

Stacey: The uniform thing doesn’t do it for me.  And neither does ASkars.  Do you think he would want to be in Hungry Hungry Hippos 3D?
