Tanya and I have debated this at great length.  Ryan Phillippe.  Hot or total douche?  Or both?

Lets break it down.

Looks.  Totally hot.  The face, the body, the guy is good looking.

Personal life.  Cheated on wifey Reese Witherspoon with Abbie Cornish (if you are asking “who?”, I don’t blame you and see here for explanation).  Broke up with Abbie.  Started dating Amanda Seyfried while also allegedly fathering an illegitimate child with some chick he briefly dated.

Personality.  Well, he seems like he is a bit of a baby, whining to the press that everyone should get over his cheating on his wife.  Hey, don’t do the crime if you can’t do the time.

Overall, I think the guy seems pretty skeezy.  But…but…he is pretty hot so I don’t know.  And that is how I normally feel abut Ryan.

But then I see him dressed like this.  And I just feel grimy all over for even looking at him.

So, while I want to say “both”, I mostly just think “douche”.

Tanya: H.O.T.

I think Ryan Phillippe is one of the hottest guys out there. And I saw him on some talk show the other day and he actually seems like a decent guy that’s totally into his kids as well which ads to the hotness.

But when it comes to relationships – douche. bag.

Ryan Phillippe, who according to gossip has been on a bit of a role with the ladies, has found himself with some baby mama drama. Ryan dated Alexis Knapp last summer and now she’s pregnant. Alexis is said to be due in June.

Her people aren’t commenting on whether or not it is Ryan Phillippe’s baby and there is no word from Ryan’s camp on whether he is the baby daddy (do they do in utero paternity tests or is that the kind of thing you wait until delivery for?) but “sources” are saying that if it is his kid he’ll step up and take full responsibility.

Ryan and Alexis split last September among rumours of his infidelity.

Ryan Phillippe and Amanda Seyfried have been dating for the last few months since he broke things off with home wrecker ex girlfriend, Abbie Cornish.  And I judged them.  Well, mostly her because this guy is a straight up d-bag and known philanderer.  Why would you chance it with a dude like this?

Anyways, a couple of weeks ago there was a report that Ryan tried to step to Rihanna and she denied him.  Following that report, there was rumors that Ryan and Amanda’s relationship had cooled…well, I would hope so!  Dude is hitting on other girls and it is being reported in magazines for everyone to read.

Well, apparently, that denial was all a show because RiRi and RyRy have allegedly been hooking up on the DL for months.  And they even had a “sleep over” the other night after her birthday.  Says a “source” of the bday hook up:

“They totally had sex. And it wasn’t even the first time!”

How embarrassing for Amanda, right?  I mean, not only is her boyfriend, or whatever, hitting on other women, so much so that they are writting about it everywhere, but Us Weekly is calling their relationship “non exclusive” and now claiming he is sleeping with other women.  Ew.  I feel sad for her.  Like, hardcore fontrum.  Hopefully she kicks him to the curb.

Are you judging RiRi a little here too?  Because I am.  Ryan Phillippe?  Ew.

And you know that Ryan is just loving all of these rumors.  Because a guy like this gets off on everyone thinking he has two girls at his beckon call.  See.  Douche.

Tanya: Amanda Seyfried has done quite a few interviews lately where she says she’s single and denies dating Phillipe so if anything was going on, it’s totally off now.

I don’t know about the Rihanna thing though. Rihanna has been reportedly “linked” to a lot of guys lately and I get the feeling it’s mostly speculation (check it: Travis Barker, Drake, Colin Farrell and now Ryan Phillippe?). She’s been doing appearances pretty much everywhere so I’m not sure where she has the time for all these romantic encounters.

Look at this douche bag.  I mean, look at him.  It’s hard to believe he, at one point, was married to Reese Witherspoon.  And the fact that I think so little of him and that Amanda is dating him actually makes me think less of her.

Can we add them to our least favorite celeb couples list?  The list that seems to be growing exponentially every day.

Tanya: You know what? I’m OK with these two. They seem good for each other. Like Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green. They’re by no means my new favourite couple but they don’t bother me. You can add them to your Least Favourite Couples List, but I’m going to just sit back and see where this one goes.

Amanda Seyfried (shown here in her dog costume this year – I gotta give her credit for not going for the “sexy” costume) and Ryan Phillippe went to two different Halloween parties together this year which leads to the speculation as to whether or not they are dating.

At first I wasn’t sure. This seems like a pretty random pairing, but if you think about it it actually makes complete sense. Amanda Seyfried probably had a huge crush on Phillippe back in the day when he was all young and hot and Ryan Phillippe has a well documented history of dating young, blond rising stars (hahaha, who am I kidding, Ryan Phillippe is interested in any young blond) so these two together make sense to me.

I don’t think this one will follow the pattern of “going steady until she starts to get lots of recognition for her work then he cheats on her” because I just don’t see Amanda Seyfried becoming that much of a shining star and even if she does, I just don’t think they’ll last that long.

Stacey: Another girl who only dates douche bags.  Seriously.  Is this a rising affliction that we need to be concerned with?

Here’s some excepts (and abs!) from Ryan Phillippe’s interview with Men’s Health.

On this divorce with actress, Reese Witherspoon: “I still have sadness and complicated feelings about my divorce,” he says. “But how beneficial is it to keep hanging onto those feelings?”

On his breakout role at age 17 as a gay teen on the soap opera One Life to Live: “I would worry, ‘What will the people at school think?’ And they shunned me in a lot of ways,” Phillippe recalls. “But it ended up being an incredible experience and such a time of growth for me.”

On working with Will Forte and Kristin Wig on “McGruber” (and also on SNL this weekend): “I tend to internalize and analyze, but with them, there’s none of that. There was no edit, no judgment. I was just a really free atmosphere.”

On his mentor, Clint Eastwood: “He’s in the latter part of his experience on the planet, and he’s still growing. He’s open to new ideas and he’s changing the way he sees things,” says Phillippe. “It’s something I want to encourage in myself: Don’t close off.”

“Jessica has had a crush on Ryan for ages,” a friend explains. “They’re planning to get together soon.”

Haha, not sure what “friend” spilled the beans on this one but it sounds a little suspect to me. BUT gossip is the name of our game so lets roll with it.

Ryan might not be the best partner, but he’s hot. Jess might not be the best thinker, but she’s hot too. Therefore, this is a grade A match!

Stacey: As much as In Touch doesn’t have much “street cred”, Jess does like douche bags.  John Mayer, Billy Corgan (sorry Billy but its true), Dane Cook, and TOny Romo.  I think Ryan would just make sense.  He would also break her heart, but Jess seems to go for that doesn’t she?

Is anyone really surprised that these two have broken up?  It was announced yesterday that Abbie Cornish and Ryan Phillippe have called it quits.

As you may recall, Ryan is the ex of Reese Witherspoon, whom he was legendarily (is that even a word?) unfaithful to.  And allegedly one of the people he was unfaithful with was Abbie.  But there were many many women besides Abbie.  So, Reese kicked him to the curb and went on to win an Oscar and dateJake Gyllenhaal.

And Ryan, who was once a promising and in demand actor kind of fell off the radar.  And Abbie, once tapped as the next “It” girl kind of fell by the way side too.  And we all thought…has Ryan really changed his ways?  Is Abbie truly his one and only?

Well, now that they have broken up, we can only speculate.  And with the contradicting, less than flattering, not mutual beneficial statements that we come to expect from celeb break ups they both released, lets just all assume it ended badly because he can’t stop his philandering ways:

Her rep says: “Abbie ended it and moved out.”

His rep says: “Ryan ended the relationship recently while she was in Australia”

Oooooo, ouch.  Cold and even a little bit rude.  So lets all just sit back and watch the drama unfold.

I would be sad except that he cheated on Reese with this chick.  What goes around comes around, peeps.

And the fact of the matter is, relationships born in lies rarely has the chance at surviving.  Somewhere out there Reese Witherspoon is having herself a good little laugh.  Wouldn’t we all?

Tanya: So if they both claim to be the one to have dumped the other, this would be a mutual split.
