I am so excited for Scream 4! Even more so after watching this trailer. It looks like they’re totally paying homage to the older movies while bringing in a new set of characters and horror movie “rules”. Stacey – I think this has to be an ISS Movie Night Outing!!

Stacey: Ummm, ISS Movie Night indeed.  I am so excited for this!  Gawd, how many times did we see the original in the theatre, Tan?

Tanya: Um, a lot. In our defence the movie theatre only showed one or two movies and they’d be in theatre for 6 months at a time. But still, I think I could quote the whole movie which is what made this trailer so awesome – they’re quoting the old movies!

Oh man this takes me back. Stacey, I think this is one we’ll definitely have to go see in theatres!!

Jennifer Aniston is automatically dating anyone she hugs, especially anyone she gives the ‘Aniston Half Hug’ to, so logically the only conclusion to draw here is that Jennifer Aniston is now dating Courtney Cox.

This makes sense though because obviously Gale Weathers would have eventually gotten sick of Dewey and move on. Too bad this means that Jennifer Aniston is going to end up either getting killed or being the killer and Sydney Prescott will have to try and find the connection between herself and Jennifer Aniston.

Update: I was totally joking about them being in Scream 4 together but Star Magazine is now reporting that Jennifer Aniston might be the open sequence victim. Called it! How fantastic would it be if Jason Priestley was the killer?

Update 2: Aniston’s rep says it’s “not true“.

Stacey: That would be awesome if she was in Scream!  She better be able to bring it though.  She would be following in the foot steps of Drew Berrymore, and Jada Pinkett Smith and those two rocked it.

As for the “half hug” you can tell she is very protective/possessive of people she is close with.  Its all in the body language.

OMG! OMG! OMG!  I am so excited….like, 14 year old girl excited!  One of my favorite movies from when I was 14, Scream, is making a comeback.  Apparently Neve Campbell has signed on for a 4th movie…sweet!  All the memories come rushing back!

Whats funny about this announcement was that I just watched Scream last night.  And I posted about it on my  Facebook about how much I loved it.  And reminiscing about my teenage years.  Gawd I was in love with Skeet Ulrich when I was 14.  And I am pretty sure Tanya and I watched this movie, like, 10 times together, with all of our girl friends.   At one point I think I could recite that movie, start to finish.  Does that make me a loser?

I just hope it doesn’t suck.  I hope it is killer (pun intended).

Tanya:10 times? I think it may have been more. I also watched  Scream 1, 2 & 3 recently (you could buy the trio for like $5 at HMV – don’t judge!) and was amazed at how much of them I remembered. Courtney Cox & David Arquette are so funny. I hope they are in for the 4th one too.

Stacey: I think we bought the same package!  LOL.  Those movies were also when Jamie Kennedy could have passed for “cool”.  Not anymore, my friend.  And he can’t make a come back either…he was whacked in the 2nd one.

Tanya: Funny you mention Jamie Kennedy. When I first wrote my comment it included the line “Scream even makes me like Jamie Kennedy a bit more, not much, but it removes him from “total douche” status.” Or something close to that…
