Usually posing with Reese Witherspoon is a good way to make yourself look like a fat giant. We’ve established this several times. But today things are a little different. Taylor Swift and Reese Witherspoon posed together at the ACM Awards and Taylor makes Reese look like a pudgy midget. Reese has been working out hard core to be in top condition for her wedding so you know she’s probably carrying ~0.05% body fat which makes me wonder how skinny Taylor Swift really is?

Stacey: Tanya, I am going to have to ask that you not use the word “midget”…it freaks me out.

They both look kind of fake, though, don’t you think?

Tanya: I can’t make any promises about my use of the word “midget”.

Ok people.  I am getting a little tired of these celebrities who have been on, like, two dates then announcing when they have “split”.  If you were never really together, you can’t really split.

Apparently, the short lived romance between Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift has ended.  Whatever.  Does anyone really care?  Did anyone really buy it?

Interestingly, there was a Blind Item yesterday on Dlisted that Michael K guessed was Taylor and Jakey because, well, it kind of fits:

For whatever reason, these two are done.  I say it was just too much, too soon.  And maybe the heat; these two couldn’t go incognito anywhere without being hounded.  Whatever the reason, you can be sure Jakey G will be immortalized in song on Swifty’s next album

We debated a couple of days ago as to whether we are buying the whole Taylor Swift/Jakey Gyllenhaal “romance”.  Buying it or not, Swifty was seen out over Thanksgiving weekend with Jakey’s sister, Maggie, and her little girl.   And not even out with Jakey either.  Like, on her own with the girls.

Really?  Already?  That just seems too soon.   That is a statement and a half.

What do you think?  Too much, too soon?

Tanya: I’m sorry, but it just feels like a photoshoot. Like they saw that a photog was waiting down the street so they threw on Ramona’s jacket and hat (poor kid can’t even see) and went for a walk around the block.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift must be in love because here they are on the cover of US Weekly and magazine covers are always the truth, right?

I dunno. There have been pictures of them at practically every coffee shop in NYC and Tennessee over the last few weeks but I’m still on the fence about this. It seems fishy. Jakie G has a new movie coming out (Love & other Drugs) so he doesn’t mind the attention, and Taylor Swift  has a new album (Speak Now) that just came out a month ago so it’s good news for her too. Plus they just seem too into this. Flying all over to meet each other in the middle of their promotional appearances? Like they can’t even go a week apart from one another? It just seems a little too much.

What do you think? True love or publicity stunt?

Stacey: Firstly, my trepidation in believing this is not because of the “too fast, too soon” part but because of the individuals themselves.  I still kind of think Jakey maybe gaybe.  I just get that vibe from him.  But, I have nothing to base this on except for my feels about him, so he most likely isn’t.  And Swifty, well, she has participated in this sort of thing before *cough Taylor Lautner cough* so I wouldn’t put it past her.

But, if they are really into one another then I am totally ok with it.  And think they would be awesome together.  And that they would make each other really happy.

As for covers = true love?  I don’t know.  You just can’t trust anything anymore.  Almost all of the stuff reported on is either totally made up or planted by publicists.  Very rarely do magazines get a slam dunk on their own.  Yes, it is the game they all play.  So who knows.  I am not buying it until they are engaged or married.  Yes, that is how skeptical I truly am.

Taylor Swift was sporting a new, more grown up look at the AMA’s the other night.

Perhaps an influence from her new boyfriend, Jake Gyllenhaal?

Another day, another celeb wax figure at Madame Tussauds.  This time, its Taylor Swift.

Ummmmm.

I really like Taylor Swift but her wax figure is just not quite right.  It looks a little like an alien.

I like the pretty guitar though

Tanya: If you cover up the real Taylor Swift the wax one looks like her, but when you see them side by side it just looks off.

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal were seen hanging out together in NYC this weekend which now means that all the tabloids are saying that they’re totally sleeping together.

Here’s the scoop:

Swift went to a Saturday Night Live taping and first sat down with her bodyguard. Once the lights dimmed the bodygard got up and Jake Gyllenhaal took the seat. Says a witness, “They chatted a lot, but no kissing or hand holding or anything affectionate”. Then the next day they were spotted out having brunch in Brooklyn, close to where Maggie Gyllenhaal lives with her family.

Saturday night date followed by a Sunday morning brunch? Totally sounds like they’re going it to me, but I’m just speculating.

Stacey: Please.  I love this.  So much.  These two would be so cute together.  And I think he would treat her right.  Unlike someone else we know *side eye at John Mayer*.

Remember the rumors of Taylor Swift and John Mayer hooking up?  I thought it was totally awesome but also thought it was a little dangerous on her part because, well, he is a giant d-bag.  Would he really be in it for any other reason that to nail a 19 year old and than brag about it?

Please.

Well, according to her new song, titled “Dear John”, which we can only assume is about John Mayer because, well, it totally fits, he crushed her and he crushed her good.

Ouch.  I remember writing poems exactly like that after my first big heart break.  But we all have to go through it right?  As much as it sucks, we all need to learn the lessons.  I am just sorry she is going through it so publicly.  Or so we think.  Maybe it isn’t about him? 

But if it is, as if her calling him out like this isn’t just totally making his life.  You know he is walking around, wearing this as a badge of honor.  Come on.  We all know he really is that big of a douche.

And now I like him a little less.  His douchiness has always been something I liked about him, but I can’t look past breaking a young girls heart just for his own fun and games.  Poor T-Swizzle.  The lesson here it to never get involved with guys like that unless it is only for fun.  Don’t expect a relationship from them, that’s not what they are willing to give.  Sadly, she was just another proverbial notch on that bed post.  With this, she will learn to see these types of guys coming from a mile away.

Tanya: I guess it’s all part of the learning experience. If we didn’t go through that how would we learn to spot them later in life? And I guess that’s the point when we learn that our parents and friends are sometimes right when they try to interfere with a relationship. “My mother accused me of loosing my mind but I swore I was fine” – yup, if I was her mom I’d be saying the same thing.

If Swift keeps immortalizing her BFs in songs she’s probably not going to have a long line of interested men for very long.

Best: Blake Lively, Emma Watson and Satsuki Mitchell. Blake’s dress is a great colour and the cut suits her – I just hope this is a standing event or someone is going to get a show. Emma’s dress is crisp and fresh with the right combination of Greco-Roman-call-girl (that is a compliment, I guess). And Satsuki Mitchell keeps it classy when all these other ladies are just over the top. Plus her dress brings out Daniel Craig’s eyes. Awwww!

Zoe Saldana & Gwen Stefani were THIS close to getting on my best list but their outfits are just a little off. Zoe’s looks good when she does the ‘over the shoulder’ look but head on it’s a little too much and Gwen’s kinda looks like either cotton batting or spiderwebs. It’s not doing it for me.

JLo, please, honey, tone it down a little.

Stacey: This year was a little disappointing for me.  I didn’t love love love anyone’s dress.  Ok, maybe Emma Watson.  Actually, oddly, I really liked Katy Perry.  It was fun and adventurous and had tons of personality…just like her!  Other than that, it was a big, fat “meh” from me.  Boring!

You may recall that a couple of weeks ago I posted about my favorite rumor of the day; that Taylor Swift and John Mayer were doing the nasty.  Well, maybe not the nasty but there were some romantical feelings brewing between the two.

Well, the buzz swirling the internet today is that this rumor is in fact true!

Do you hear that sound?  Its my applauding.  Well done on both their parts.  For him, on bagging a 19 year old and her catching a hot, talented, experienced older man.

According to Lainey, T Swizzle was seen at Mayer’s concert recently “cheering enthusiastically” and making little hand hearts at John while he was on stage.  Not exactly a slam dunk but they also have allegedly been meeting up and going on group dates.  And lets be honest here people.  Would any of us put it past John Mayer to put the moves on a 19 year old?  I didn’t think so.

And who could blame Taylor?  Do you remeber the first time you dated an “older man”.  I do.  In fact, my hubby is 9 years older than me, so I get the whole allure of it.

But be careful, T Swizzle.  This one is bad news.  Not that I wouldn’t go for it myself, but do you remember the first time you had your heart broken by a womenizer?  Its devastating.  This is a whole other ball park than dating our sweet, young, Taylor Lautner.

Tanya: Ewwwwww! This has got “bad idea” written all over it, BUT who am I to judge. If they really like each other than why not?
