Sorry for the back-to-back Harper posts but I couldn’t resist. How cute is Romeo Beckham as he gets to hold Harper? Answer: too cute.

Stacey: Look at the big smile!  He totally loves his little sis.  That girl is going to be s-p-o-i-l-e-d.  And I love how Mommy Posh looks like she is giving him the “be careful with her! Make sure you are holder her head!” warning that all mommies give.  She looks amazing too.

My baby is 3 months old already and I would not go out with her in heels like the one Posh Beckham is wearing. I won’t even go out with her in 3 inch heels. Why? Because you’re already a little off kilter to begin with (pregnancy kills your joints) and then you’re carrying around a little baby that likes to squirm and wiggle. Maybe if I was on my 4th kid I’d be a little more comfortable with the whole situation, but on my first I’m playing it safe and keeping with sturdy footwear.

Maybe that’s why David Beckham is carrying Harper. Safety first!

Stacey: I am surprised she isn’t carrying her…what is a better accessory than a new born baby?  Maybe a new Balenciaga bag?  Just kidding…I am so not comparing babies and handbags…or am I?

Victoria & David Beckham had their baby girl over the weekend. She weighed in at 7lbs 10oz and they named her Harper Seven.

I *really* like the name Harper. It’s one of the names I had picked out for our daughter but my husband kiboshed it rather quickly with “we’re not naming her after Stephen Harper”. I hadn’t even considered the PM when picking the name (I was thinking Harper Lee, and also that it’s just a super cool name) but he had a point. And when I was watching the morning news this morning and they covered the story that’s the first thing the news anchor said too.

And Seven is pretty cool too. I wonder what it stands for? Maybe she’s lucky number seven?

Stacey: I love the name Harper.  But I love it because the author of one of my favorite books is Harper Lee.  And when I think Harper Lee, I think Boo Radley.  And when I think Boo Radley I think Scout Finch which makes me think of Atticus Finch.  Love!

So ya.  Harper Seven.  I like it.

Ok, David.  When you make a point of saying that you took it while she wasn’t looking makes us think that she totally knew you were taking it.

Not that she doesn’t look great, but do you really need to treat us like we are stupid?  Of course she knew you were taking the photo and probably got her hair and make up done, found the perfect spot for lighting, and also grabbed a professional photographer to take the picture.

Tanya: This is totally staged. When you get 18 weeks or so into your pregnancy you’re not supposed to lay flat on your back anymore because the weight of the baby can put pressure on some vital blood vessel and cut off the blood flow to either you or your baby (I can’t remember the exact details, just that they tell you again and again and again that you can’t lay flat on your back). As this is her fourth time being pregnant I’m sure Vicky would know that and wouldn’t just be hanging out sunning herself like this unless it was for a short period of time. Not only is it a big no-no, but it would also be totally uncomfortable. She’s just in this position for the photo.

While we haven’t posted much…hell, we haven’t posted anything about the Royal Wedding…I thought we should touch on it since it is pretty much the biggest wedding of our lifetimes.  Prince William and Duchess Catherine (that’s right, her name is officially changed and now much be referred to as Duchess Catherine…they know they could have kept the “K”, right?) were officially married this morning in England.

Did I get up this morning to watch it?  Hellz to the no.  It was airing at 3:00 am this morning in Calgary.  That is too early to be up, even for the “wedding of the century”.

Anyways, of course the one thing everyone…at least me…was interested in was The Dress.  Catherine wore Alexander McQueen and she looked absolutely beautiful.  The dress was classic and simple but so elegant.  And they looked beautiful together.  I know lots of people aren’t into the Royals.  In fact, there was a lot of talk about protesting the wedding because people see the Royals as outdated.  I don’t disagree with that but I hope what wasn’t forgotten in all this is that there were two young people getting married because they are in love.  It wasn’t an arranged marriage, it was actually two people who want to be together…I hope that isn’t lost here and that people don’t try to ruin that for them.

Ok, can we talk about the pictures of some of the guests?  I totally loved the Queen’s awesome yellow outfit with her rockin yellow hat.  Posh and Becks looked amazing.  Posh’s hat totally kicked ass.  Chelsy Davy, Prince Harry’s on again/off again GF looked like…well, you can see for yourself.  I can’t believe THAT is what she decided to wear to the wedding of the century.  But Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie….these two looked like two hot messes.  What the hell is going on with their hats?  Its all bad.  And Catherine’s mom?  How beautiful is she?  At least we know Catherine is going to age well.

My favorite picture so far though is the picture of Will and Catherine kissing on the balcony, a tradition.  I know they are supposed to be all modest and everything but that kiss looks about as exciting as kissing your grandmother.  Catherine could have at least slipped him a little tongue right?

But that is all I have to say about this…as I am sure you are all sick to death, or at least will be very soon, of hearing about the wedding.  Next up, the ever popular question “When will Will and Catherine have kids?” and “Is Katherine already pregnant?”.  Oh joy of joys.

Tanya: I wasn’t that excited to see the dress because, well, it’s a wedding dress and those are a dime a dozen (not literally of course, those things are crazy expensive). But now that I see it I’m totally excited about it!! It’s beautiful!! I want to get married again and wear that same dress.

I love the rest of the pics that you picked Stacey – Chelsy Davy looks like she had to borrow a dress from her cougar aunt and Posh’s hat is positioned in a way that makes me think she woke up with a zit on her forehead.

Did I watch the wedding. No effing way. I was still up working when it was about to start but I know that is all we are going to be bombarded with today so I took the option of sleep instead. Do you know anyone who did stay up to watch it?

Here’s Victoria Beckham watching David Beckham play some soccer and it looks like she’s got a plateful of cupcakes to keep her company. She doesn’t seem to eat any (she never indulges, remember) but some people go crazy when they’re pregnant and eat everything. Trust me, I’ve seen it in action. I’m not a crazy indulgent pregnant woman but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t help myself to one or two of those nice little cupcakes.

Stacey: She may not actually eat the cupcakes but she has to give the illusion that she does.  Otherwise bitches will start wondering if she is indeed pregnant, since she barely looks like it.  Soon, if she doesn’t start showing off that bump, we will have another Nicole Kidman scandal on our hands.

David Beckham is reported to have told the LA Galaxy team at a luncheon that he and Victoria Beckham are indeed having a baby girl. Yay! I’m excited for them. They’ve both said they’d love a girl and as much as I’m sure they’d love a boy too, 4 boys would be a lot to handle. Of course 1 girl can probably give all these boys a run for their money. Just wait for it.

Remember that one Friends when Joey is going to audition for a roll and is supposed to be a real “clothes horse” so Rachel convinces him that he should carry a bag and everyone makes fun of him for it?  Because, well, it kind of looks like a purse.

That’s what this picture of David Beckham reminds me of.  Because that bag looks like it should be carried by his wife, Victoria.  Strangely, I thought Posh could actually wear this whole outfit.  But for some reason, on Becks it works.  Even the bag.

Thank goodness he seems to be bringing back the hot as well.  I was worried for a while there.

Tanya: I love it. The whole look is really working for me.

Is it just me or do you see a little Posh Spice going on here? I see a LOT of Posh Spice going on. So much that I could see Jessica Alba with her own set of concrete tits in a year or two (note to Alba: Posh took hers out because it was ruining her chances of being taken seriously in the fashion world. You might want to just skip that step). I could also see her down to 60lbs or whatever it is that Posh weighs.

Unfortunately, becoming Posh Spice probably won’t save Jessica Alba’s career. She should stick to her “athletic” hotness because that is really the only thing she has going for her. Maybe she’ll still be able to get some roles as the “hot chick” that way.

Stacey: Ya.  I love the dress but the hair is a little…old?  But she does seem sooooo skinny.  Remember Jessica in Sin City?  She was much juicier then.  And much more attractive I think.  But, she doesn’t want to be the bombshell.  She wants to be taken seriously as an actress.  We all have dreams…
